Scott Walker Just Dropped a Major Bomb on the RINO GOP Leadership

"Republican presidential candidate and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker made no friends with the RINO GOP establishment on Monday, going where establishment-backed “moderate” squishy candidates like RINOs Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham or Chris Christie would probably never go. Appearing on the Glenn Beck radio program on Monday, Walker told Beck that RINO leader Mitch McConnell is “part of the problem” in Washington, citing broken GOP promises regarding Obamacare and funding Obama’s illegal amnesty....."

“...And, for the party’s top donors, who hear pleas from all corners, “it’s more than some of these other candidates have for a path to victory,” says a GOP strategist familiar with Cruz’s pitch. As for those dreaded consultants the senator so often maligns, he’s not beyond their reach.

The Cruz campaign has paid Axiom Strategies, the consulting firm owned by Cruz’s campaign manager, Jeff Roe, about $30,000 a month. A spokesman for the campaign says that fee covers Roe’s salary as well as those of three other campaign staffers. J2 Strategic Communications, the firm established by Cruz’s senior adviser, Jason Johnson, is also paid $20,000 a month for campaign work, which a Cruz spokesman says is the closest their operation comes to a traditional campaign-consultant relationship.

One of Roe’s former clients was former Texas lieutenant governor David Dewhurst, the establishment candidate defeated in a 2012 Senate bid by political upstart Ted Cruz.

That’s how quickly friends of the Republican establishment can become foes, and vice versa. Now, Cruz is hoping for a similar transformation if he manages to make his renegade brand that of the Republican standard-bearer. Source

Scott Walker Takes Dead Aim at Obamacare

"...........Americans have been thirsting for a well-conceived conservative alternative to Obamacare for six years. Finally a leading Republican has offered one. Obama’s centerpiece legislation is now on a course toward repeal — which would probably be the biggest loss ever for progressives and the biggest domestic-policy win in the history of the conservative movement."

Headline news.

It appears that the “media” interpreted Walker’s answer to a question and made it a headline.

Then they said he had to clarify (the media’s mistake).

So now the story becomes that Walker changed his mind.

Interesting how that works.

KASIE HUNT: Do you think that birthright citizenship should be ended?

SCOTT WALKER: Well, like I said, Harry Reid said it’s not right for this country — I think that’s something we should, yeah, absolutely, going forward —

HUNT: We should end birthright citizenship?

WALKER: Yeah, to me it’s about enforcing the laws in this country. And I’ve been very clear, I think you enforce the laws, and I think it’s important to send a message that we’re going to enforce the laws, no matter how people come here we’re going to enforce the laws in this country.

HUNT: And you should deport the children of people who are illegal immigrants?

WALKER: I didn’t say that — I said you have to enforce the law, which to me is focusing on E-Verify.

A Walker spokeswoman followed up to clarify Walker’s position on immigration, saying his position is as follows:

“We have to enforce the laws, keep people from coming here, enforce E-Verify to stop the jobs magnet, and by addressing the root problems we will end the birthright citizenship problem.”

This is what Walker has been tackling and winning against in the hotbed and wellspring of socialism (the Wisconsin Idea that started over 100 years ago and spread across the country). He's taken on the machine that has built the political, educational, media army that is burying our Republic.

You'll look long and hard to find such an extensive catalog of a fight against these angry, entrenched Leftists, one that started in 2011 and is still being waged today.

Look over the information at those two links.

Are they trying to do an ‘equivalency’ with the lowlife Hillary Clinton? Is that what this is about?

As Scott Walker has stated, "going forward" no amnesty, we seal the border (using all options), enforce the laws, remove the magnets (6 months - June 2011- into his 1st term Walker was the first and only governor to revoke instate tuition for illegals, secure jobs for American citizens [legal immigration must also be adjusted down], E-verify and then look at other options.

And this is about more than illegal immigration, it's about national security.

Top Fundraiser for Scott Walker Meets With Trump - True to form Trump spins the facts

"...".......Monday’s meeting came less than three hours after Mr. Scaramucci criticized Mr. Trump on the Fox Business Network. Mr. Scaramucci accused Mr. Trump of being “a Democratic plant” for Hillary Clinton and said he is wealthy only because of his father.

“The politicians don’t want to go at Trump because he’s got a big mouth and they’re afraid he’s going to light them up on Fox News and all these places, but I’m not a politician,” he said. “Bring it. You’re an inherited-money dude from Queens County. Bring it, Donald.”

Mr. Trump said Mr. Scaramucci requested the meeting last week after he began the hedge-fund attacks. Mr. Scaramucci said Mr. Trump’s office asked to meet with him Monday morning after he went on Fox Business...."

“....AshLee Strong, a spokeswoman for Walker’s campaign, pushed back against critics who juxtaposed Walker’s comments this week with his 2013 trade trip.

“There is no equivalence between a routine trade mission and honoring the Chinese president with one of the United States’ highest forms of diplomatic flattery,” Strong said in a statement Tuesday. “Rather than high honors and an unnecessary ceremony for President Xi, President Obama should be focused on real engagement. Holding China accountable for its egregious actions doesn’t negate the importance of trade.”

FR Thread Aug 26, 2015:

When Jorge Ramos [Univision] is invited back after being escorted out because he wouldn't stop interrupting, he and Donald Trump had an interesting exchange.

Be sure to watch.

4:48 Video: Donald Trump Confronted by Univision Jorge Ramos at Iowa Press Before Rally Speech "

Donald Trump explains that he will get rid of the gangs [which is the only group he says he will deport (if you've read it) in his plan] and then says to Ramos, "You're going to like this," "I will be humane" "I want them to come back" because "I have a bigger heart than you" - explaining that he will be a good manager and after the good ones get their papers - "I want them to get documentation so that they become legal" - they can come back.

-------------

Now, after all the hype and the headlines, how is this any different from what Scott Walker and Ted Cruz have been saying all along?

Be honest!

This is about more than illegal immigration, it's about national security.

March 28, 2015: “I made it clear that for me, if somebody wants to be a citizen, they need to go back to their country of origin, get in line, no preferential treatment,” Walker said. “In terms of what to do beyond that, again, that’s something we got to work with Congress on.”

May 26, 2015 - Breitbart: Exclusive — Walker: We’d Be Sending in Navy to Stop Illegals if They Were Swarming Our Sea Ports Like They Do Southern Border

June 20, 2015: 5:00 video Scott Walker Confronted by Undocumented Immigrant Family "Everyone must follow the laws" (watch it).

--------------------

Ted Cruz's exchange with Megyn Kelly last night, again, is similar.

"...what I’ve said is that we should approach immigration in a staged manner. We should start with focusing on areas of bipartisan agreement. Where is there bipartisan agreement? On two major areas. Number one, that we should do everything possible to secure the border and stop illegal immigration. And number two, to improve and streamline legal immigration.”

"......we need to solve the problem. And the way you solve the problem, is you focus where there’s bipartisan agreement first. Once we’ve secured the border, once we’ve actually proven we can do this, once we’ve stop the Obama administration’s policy of releasing 104,000 violent criminal illegal aliens in one year, once we’ve solved that problem, then we can have a debate, then we can have a conversation.”....

Walker’s Obamacare Alternative: Setting the Record Straight"..................In short, Walker’s alternative would provide overdue tax-relief for the middle class, cut federal spending and taxes by 13 figures apiece, and provide commonsense protections for those with preexisting conditions. It’s a political and policy winner.

Obamacare is the centerpiece legislation of Barack Obama’s presidency. It was very unpopular when the Democrats passed it, cost the Democrats the House in 2010 and the Senate in 2014, and remains very unpopular more than five years after Obama signed it into law. It is ripe for repeal. The only thing that’s been missing is a candidate who is willing to champion a credible conservative alternative. Walker has now stepped into that leadership void and has shown a willingness to take on this crucial fight. If he makes his alternative the centerpiece of his campaign, he may well have the chance to sign legislation in early 2017 that would mark a defining turn in the battle between limited-government conservatism and big-government liberalism."

"The Canadian border got dragged into the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign on Sunday, with a prominent candidate appearing to entertain the notion of building a giant wall between the two countries.

The idea was raised in a talk-show interview with Republican contender Scott Walker, who after being pressed twice by the interviewer appeared to agree it was worth considering.

"Some people have asked us about that in New Hampshire. They raised some very legitimate concerns, including some law-enforcement folks that brought that up to me at one of our town-hall meetings about a week and a half ago," the Wisconsin governor said during an interview with NBC's Meet The Press.

"So that is a legitimate issue for us to look at."

Walker didn't dwell on the issue. He quickly steered the conversation to the Middle East, rebuilding the military, and national security. The exchange about Canada never even made it to air, and was edited out of the interview highlights that ran on Meet The Press and was simply posted on NBC's website. Source

Scott Walker campaign clarifies Canadian wall comments after backlash (media construct)

"As Gov. Scott Walker faced ridicule Monday for calling the building of a wall on the Canadian border a “legitimate issue,” his presidential campaign said he isn’t pushing for the idea.

“Despite the attempts of some to put words in his mouth, Gov. Walker wasn’t advocating for a wall along our northern border,” Walker spokeswoman AshLee Strong said in a statement.

The campaign responded after Walker’s comment was widely mocked, from a Democratic senator calling it one of the “craziest” ideas of the campaign so far to fellow GOP presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, saying building a Canadian wall is a “pretty dumb idea” and a “ridiculous notion” in an interview on Boston Herald Radio.

Walker’s comments came during a recorded 30-minute interview Saturday with NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd that was posted online Sunday.

“Do you want to build a wall north of here too?” Todd asked, noting that Walker has talked about building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border to deter terrorism in addition to illegal immigration.

“Some people have asked us about that in New Hampshire,” Walker replied. “They raised some very legitimate concerns, including some law enforcement folks that brought that up to me at one of our town hall meetings about a week and a half ago. So that is a legitimate issue for us to look at.”....

Time to Rein in Public Sector Unions [Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker did this in 2011]

SNIP

"Conservative Labor Reforms

This transformation of the union movement should make government labor reforms a top conservative priority. Government unions are a powerful institutional force opposed to limiting the size and scope of government. They make top conservative (and politically popular) priorities—from tax relief to school choice—very difficult to enact. Creating them was a mistake that states should rectify.

Several states—such as Virginia and North Carolina—never permitted collective bargaining in government. States that did should return to this example.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker did this in 2011. He signed legislation eliminating the power of unions to bargain over government benefits and work rules, and strictly limited bargaining over wages. This enabled Walker to transform a $3.6 billion budget shortfall into a surplus and $2 billion in tax cuts. Savings came not just from cutting government pay, but also from operating more efficiently.

Wisconsin school districts, for example, saved tens of millions of dollars through lower health insurance premiums. Previously, the Wisconsin Education Association (WEA) had required school districts to buy health insurance through WEA Trust, a union-backed insurance provider. Once school districts were allowed to shop around, they got lower rates.

Similarly, Wisconsin unions can no longer force their work rules on the state or local governments. The seniority system that forced Milwaukee Public Schools to fire Megan Sampson a week after naming her their “Outstanding First Year Teacher” has now become optional.

Unions threatened to end Scott Walker’s political career for taking them on. They failed miserably. Walker won a union-backed recall election handily. He won his regular re-election bid by almost the exact margin he first won in 2010. Walker’s reforms cost him no political support.

Exit polls in 2014 showed that Walker won the political argument over the role of unions in government. Wisconsin voters view government unions unfavorably by a 52–44 percent margin."......

Trump is all bluster. Illegal immigration and border security was a big issue before he tossed his rhetorical hand grenade into the picture.

Trump will happily tell you what a fabulous, amazing, terrific president Hillary will be when he attends her inauguration.

For those who want facts:

Walker revoked instate tuition for illegals (June 2011) 6 months into his first term. No other state or governor (18 still have it) have done what Walker did.

http://hispanicnewsnetwork.blogspot.com/2011/06/walker-revokes-in-state-tuition-for.html

Walker has been very vocal on illegals: “If somebody wants to be a citizen, they need to go back to their country of origin, get in line, no preferential treatment. In terms of what to do beyond that, again, that’s something we got to work with Congress on.”

Walker was confronted (staged by the media) an illegal immigrant flanked by his children; Walker was very clear about their illegal status and need to follow laws (which Obama did not).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7_HaEOIJhM

Walker has said revoking Obama’s EO on immigration will happen the 1st day that he is in office (Wisconsin is also part of the states’ lawsuit against that EO).

Walker was the first candidate to call for lowering the numbers of legal immigrants.
