Todd wants ALL manufacturing off shored. There is NO reason to employ any Americans in manufacturing when an unlimited supply of virtual slave labor can be exploited.

That basically is what I am checking.

If he has real ideas, he will present them. If he’s just trolling for ever-more outsourcing, he needs to be called out on this.

This seems like as good a thread as any... wait to see what he says.

You could eliminate all taxes, unions and regulations and the US worker is never going to compete with a slave.

Cutting the corporate tax rate to 20% would be a good start. 15% would be better.

Eliminate CAFE standards, the ethanol mandate and any other "green energy" mandate.

Build the Keystone pipeline.

Open ANWR and more offshore areas to drilling.

Sunset regulations after 10 years. If they worked, pass them again. If they didn't, they're gone.

So, what rate and is that your only change?

No I don't.

Wrong again.

when an unlimited supply of virtual slave labor can be exploited.

I don't want to exploit slave labor.

Does it even matter to you that manufacturing is off shored to third world and communist countries? Maybe you just don’t care.

You could eliminate all taxes, unions and regulations and the US worker is never going to compete with a slave.

Which is why workers in Burkina Faso are more productive than American workers. Not!

OK I like all of your ideas. The thing is, America is so very much more, than a giant oil source.

Now charge imports, a surchange to return American manufacturing, and we’ve got a deal. But I mean a real tax, to really return American manufacturing. Not something symbolic. A real tax. Right now.

We have to support American manufacturing.

Besides America is now over 18 trillion dollars in debt, and that is (rapidly) climbing. The answer is to charge that debt, directly onto imports.

Bring back American manufacturing.

That is a must.

I can say I am for a lot of things Todd. But everything you say is to the contrary.

OK I like all of your ideas.

So why have you never recommended them before?

The thing is, America is so very much more, than a giant oil source.

Yes it is. It's also a giant manufacturer.

Now charge imports, a surchange to return American manufacturing

We're the biggest manufacturer in the world.

A real tax. Right now.

What rate? Charged on what?

We have to support American manufacturing.

I'd like to reduce impediments to manufacturing here.

The answer is to charge that debt, directly onto imports.

No. The answer to that is to stop spending more and more. And to stop killing our economy with excessive, stupid regulations.

But everything you say is to the contrary.

Then you can find hundreds (thousands?) of examples, based on my nearly 37,000 posts over the last nearly 15 years.

No you’re wrong.

China is now the largest manufacturer, and that continues to grow, quite rapidly. China does NOT allow Americans to live there permanently (unless of course, they are Chinese ethnically), and they do not hold elections.

Why in the world, are we buying everything from there?

America is building up our number one competitor.

BOTH PARTIES. GOP stand up and bring back manufacturing right here.

We need to support America once again.

I don't believe Commie statistics. They lie worse than Obama.

China does NOT allow Americans to live there permanently

Who'd want to?

and they do not hold elections.

Of course not, they're Commies.

Why in the world, are we buying everything from there?

It's obvious we are not.

America is building up our number one competitor.

I didn't want to give them MFN status.

BOTH PARTIES. GOP stand up and bring back manufacturing right here.

The best way to do that is shrink government, cut taxes and reduce regulations.

Not raise taxes and give the government more money and power.

We need to become less like China, not more like China.

Well we’ve come full-circle.

We started out disagreeing.

We met in the middle. Now we part, once again disagreeing.

Until next time...

Todd you are not stupid. Once off shored the manufacturing doesn’t not come back. You know that. We as a nation are bleeding wealth. The only way to stop the bleeding is with tariffs. You are against tariffs so you are not serious. Just another BS’er.

Once off shored the manufacturing doesn’t not come back. You know that.

Cheaper energy prices have brought some manufacturing back.

The only way to stop the bleeding is with tariffs.

I'd prefer lowering taxes on US manufacturers to raising them on US consumers, but then again, I'm a conservative.

Let me know when you find any of my posts that prove your previous claim.
