Oh man. You story touches even someone as gruff as myself. I’m the father of an autistic son so this story hits home
I think there’s a special place in heaven awaiting people like your grandson
He and his siblings are just really kind kids just like their Mom.
How did the mother send out the invitations? Are the other kids autistic as well or are they normal? Does the mother have good relations with the other mothers? If she sent out e-mail or printed invitations when did she send them out? My mother had a hard and fast rule that unless it was an emergency my social activities had to be cleared with her at least a week before the event date. Perhaps the other mothers had things to do that day. Does anybody like the poor kid? If he’s hell to go to school with I can see the other mothers not wanting to force their kids to spend their free time with him. Have any of the other mothers ever invited the little boy to their homes for birthday parties? We only have one side of the story.
