No!U.S.government policies kill.Failure to protect our borders from the entry of illegal immigrants and not checking for communicable diseases is the reason for the spread of measles and other diseases that are cropping up today.

Our stupid government even decided to import a nonnative disease to the U.S. In the form of Ebola.

I forgot about the disease that is mimicking polio that just suddenly appeared in our country that is also attack kids.

This is all dictator Obama’s fault.

Sometimes these articles are just too easy - we should at least have to work for it:

“Dr. Mark Papania of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”

“Aerosol technique ‘could transform measles vaccination”

“Aerosol Vaccination Device Inventor - Dr. Mark Papania”

It’s kind of like the six degrees of separation game. Search every one of these straw-man, cheer-leading, pro vaccination articles and at the bottom of it all you will always find somebody with a financial dog in the fight.

Every one here would do well to remember that prior to running for president BOTH obama and hillary (& RFK jr. and pretty much the entire dimocrat army) was anti vaccine and parents choice. NOW they are trying to paint the entire issue as a republican/conservative anti science thing and the media is carrying their water relentlessly. You have to ask yourself what is really going on and what is the endgame. The duplicity on this issue is staggering.

Christie and Paul aren't the only politicians sympathizing with anti-vaccination fanatics.

Ben Shapiro is a F***ing moron. They said nothing of the sort.

I’ve known 2 families who had kids contract pertussis, both had their kids vaccinated. In our homeschool co-op there are many families who have not had any of their children vaccinated. Despite having contact with the ill children of the vaccinated families, none of the non-vaccinated kids picked it up. Also, while at a clinic I heard the lab techs commenting on a coughing child who was walking past, “Oh, that’s the one with whooping cough”. It was a Somalian child. If immigrants are required to be vaccinated in order to attend school, then that boy was vaccinated as well.

I find this very odd.

My kids are mostly up to date on vaccinations. After 2 girls had bad reactions to shots, they are not getting more for a while.

ummmmmm if my kid is vaccinated, and your unvaccinated kid gives mine the sickness.....doesn’t that say something about the vaccination in the first place?

The vaccination rate for American children has been slightly more than 90% for the last 20+ years.

“Anti-vaccine fanatics” have had little to no effect on that number.

This latest measles outbreak certainly appears to be the result of some factor besides the “anti-vaccine” crowd.

That doesn't mean that all vaccinations should be compulsory, of course

All vaccines aren't created equal.

Think about the 1976 swine flu vaccine fiasco.-Tom

It is interesting that it is the older folks that favor vaccines. The reason being, in all likely hood, due to the fact we were routinely vaccinated in school. My mother used to be terrified when polio season came around.

The major problem with vaccinations is, how do you know for sure that your child will NOT fall in the percentage of those who will be harmed or even die from the vaccination. This is the whole problem. It’s a crap shoot for each set of parents and for each child of parents. If Uncle Sugar or the pharmas could guarantee 100% that no lives will be detrimentally affected, this would not be a problem.

Dear Ben,

You fell for the leftist trap. The fact of the matter is that this current measles outbreak IS NOT the result of the views of the few “anti-vaccinator” people. It IS the result of the unmonitored influx of the poorest, third world, diseased, illiterate children that poured across our border over the last year.

The fact that the GOP is falling for this trap is proof that they have no interest in securing the border and screening for diseases.....

Whenever you get into mandated medical procedures for civilians you enter a very obtuse and sensitive subject with tons of nuance.

Once they start mandating vaccines for the good of the people, how far is it till they start mandating abortion, sterilization, euthanasia. Topics that politics has already broached and even some judicial action has taken place.

My son got a vaccination while in the Marine Corps that almost killed him. I cried and prayed as I followed the ambulance taking him to have a heart transplant when he was only 20 years old. Fortunately he didn’t have the heart transplant at that time. Later on he has had more incidents related to his heart including his heart stopping while in the hospital. He was flown by air ambulance helicopter to another hospital where they implanted a pacemaker/cardioverter/defibrillator that he will live with for the rest of his life due to that vaccination.

Be prepared to dodge the asinine, irrelevant, immature, condemnadons of your point of view which, of course as all intelligent people know, is 100% correct.

So according to the “settled science” folks, Measles was apparently basically eradicated in 2000 and sustained as such until 2011. During that period there were around 60 cases/year. This year there are 600+....hardly, an outbreak or epidemic in a nation of 300+ million people. Additionally, the anti-vaxxer movement did not just start in 2011....but something else did happen that has much more impact on exposing us to this and other types of diseases...anyone want to hazard a guess? And this is the fault of parents that choose to be more cautious, critical, suspicious and inquisitive about their children’s health, how?
