A great deal of the corn farming community near me knows and acknowledges that the corn subsidies are pointless and foolish but . . . they still take them.

We are continually getting these infomercials telling us how great ethanol is & I can’t find out who’s putting them on. Might be quite a few low-info voters that actually believe that crap & can’t imagine that media would lie to them.

For years I heard complaint after complaint right here on FR about farmers ‘being paid not to plant’.
I predicted many, many times that once those ‘being paid not to plant’ payments ended, people would REALLY be unhappy.
It’s been a lot of years now that farmers are going wall to wall on production, and boy, is my prediction holding up.
