Yep, it worked well for Hitler’s Law Enforcement Officers, known as the Gestapo. We know how that turned out.
And WAY too much “benefit of the doubt”, usually given in the form of “don’t let a few bad apples convince you the whole barrel is bad” and “don’t let a few isolated incidents convince you that the SOP is wrong”.
To paraphrase someone - when the government does it, it’s not illegal.
First Police need to be able to read and know there numbers as they get the wrong house all the time.
Second Police need to not kill every dog they see.
Third police need to not throw flash bangs into small children’s beds.
Fourth Police need to not lie at, about or after a raid.
” dont let a few isolated incidents convince you that the SOP is wrong.”
I wonder how the cop would feel if one of theirs in another state, makes a MISTAKE and murders their father or mother.
“ATLANTA-Carrie Mills is a retired Atlanta Police officer with 30 years on the job - primarily in APD’s drug unit.”
The very same unit that shot a grandmother in her bed and then planted drugs on her. All based on a bogus no knock warrant driven by lies from both informants and cops. Small wonder this person supports them.

You are correct. I should have written my response better. On earth, there's no such thing.
In fact, why not just have city police visit places suspected to be dealers about once a week in the daytime. Knock-knock [wait for door to answer] “Hello this is Officer Friendly, is there anything we can help you with?”
Do that 5 or 6 times. They will be forced out of the drug selling business because each time they will have flushed....
*What* happened to your grandmother??
It wasn’t my grandmother. It happened a couple years back and was discussed here extensively. The cops involved were eventually prosecuted and imprisoned.
But my point still stands.

Destroying evidence is not a good enough reason to smash into someone’s home.
Agreed.
