Wow- all that physical fitness really helped him! Shoulda invested more time above the neck instead of below.
L.A. news station said he was a West Point grad and former Army Ranger. If that’s the case, I can’t imagine not having better situational awareness. As previously noted, trains just don’t sneak up on you.
Imagine if it had been a high speed bullet train!
“I guess being a fitness model”
Captain, Airborne Ranger, and former company commander of 180 people.
I’d never heard of him either.
I had no idea that a blank could kill someone. But everyone knows that a train can kill them.
Perhaps it was a video on why you shouldn’t work out on train tracks.
If that was it’s purpose then it succeeded.
That’s all well and good, but since I can’t access LAT from here, I didn’t see it reported as such.
My comment was relating to how the LSM deems a “fitness model” getting hit by a train as “news”.
RIP nonetheless...

I think anytime anyone is killed by a train while playing on the tracks it is reported as news.
Could be...I know in my little ‘burgh it’d be news or maybe more of a PSA about the dangers of trains and RR xings.
He was trying to outrun the train for an energy drink commercial. How fast are those things going on average?
