Apart from the IRS being used against the Republican left’s political enemies, the GOP loves using taxes and tax cuts to their political advantage. Giving tax refunds to people who don’t pay taxes is a Republican pastime.
Cruz has his work cut out for him.

As much as I agree with Cruz 1000%, this might be the one dragon that is hard to slay. Every IRS agent, tax preparer, tax attorney, and all the associated industries, including all federal employees invested into the biggest theft system known to humanity will fight him with everything they’ve got. The World’s Biggest Scam won’t go down without a fight.

FLAT TAX - yes! Preferably as close a possible to 10%. EVERYBODY the same. SIMPLE. Throw away the 74,000-page tax code. Turn the IRS into a small store front. Only exception: maybe a fixed poverty line where there’s no tax. The poverty line should move only upon an act of Congress.
Please, quit using the word “fair” with the word “tax.”
“Fairness in taxation” is what gave us the 74,000-page tax code and a monster IRS who themselves don’t understand the convoluted tax code.
FLAT TAX. SIMPLE. Period.
