“He was soon out of school. No girlfriend. No jewel. No money.”
Goes to show, what you get for free you do not value. And it does not enrich your life or your soul.
Rush had a caller on that was mad because she just finished community college and didn’t get it for free. He was amazingly gentle with her, considering her attitude. He turned it around to encourage her to stand on her own two feet and explained how working hard builds character, and that’s something that the government cannot give you.
It was a good lesson to hear, for anyone, in this day and age.

(had to google it)
Are you one of those few brave souls in the midst of the enemy? (a conservative working in education)
Neither, I am saying the 20% rate may well be correct. But it could be 90% of those that are taking classes to earn a Associates Degree. The other 80% of enrollees could well be people that take just the classes they need in the area they work in or have an interest.
I am. I work at a community college - economics professor.
This proposal is a bailout to massively underfunded college teacher pensions.
These campuses are nursing homes with a library if you look at the average age of full time faculty at our colleges.
Don’t expect to see any of this public money going into the classroom - it’ll go straight to Cal PERS & Cal STRS here in California, for example.
The Rats are always two steps ahead of the game, when it comes to bailing themselves out. The GOP just plays catch up... The Rats MUST bailout these Unions with “free CC education for all” ruses like these - that’s where they get their continued Rat campaign contributions, through public sector / tax dollars.
Like a sleazy charity — — 99.9% of the cash is eventually misappropriated.
