Agreed. I just meant that’s the only time I’ve had that cut of beef. I’ve never had it bbq’d or plain brisket as a pot roast.
Again, more than willing to accept Texas brisket donations, LOL!

I have seen drive thru bars in Louisiana but I don't think you could buy a gun with your scotch or gin. :)

“I wonder if smoking with black locust gives a similar flavor.”
Everything I’ve read about locust and smoking says it’s no good.

Gracious Texans give their guests option to have it as they like with lovely condiments on the side. You get it! No beans chili sounds good if I have some stuff on the side like
Beans
Onion
Pickles
Bread
Hot sauce to be used sparingly

Idiots in Austin would tell you driving to the gun store encourages drive by shootings, driving to get a 6 pack of beer encourages drunk driving...

Aren't they afraid that those evil guns will just decided to “go off” and hurt someone? I actually heard a weenie say that in all seriousness one time. A Dutch friend of mine who couldn't look at MrD’s pistol laying on the table because it scared her. Guns just go off! Sure they do and SUV’s are murderous too.

KC BBQ is an abomination LOLAint that the truth.
However I have always had good Brisket at Rudy's. Not brilliant but always good.
However, the best steak every was served by Texas Cowboy and an unknown cook recently does brisket that is rumored to be good.

I used to work on Cermak Road in Chicago and sometimes drive a buddy to his house in Harvey. The second time I did, I asked him about the cars waiting to pick up BBQ at a stand where the owner was doing all the work and raking in the bucks! Best I ever had.
There was a good place in Valdosta too.
