Not all black lives matter. Not all white lives matter, either. Not to me. In 2011 in Chicago, 70% of victims had a criminal record. VICTIMS.
I’ll feel for the other 30% who died in Chicago. Their lives mattered.
In a modern industrial economy, endemic poverty is marked by broken families and substance abuse. Transitional poverty is a normal part of life that many or most people experience at some point in life, as they work their way up and deal with crises in their lives. But endemic poverty has elements that you see again and again. Broken families; substance abuse.
If you are moral and honorable in character, if you raise your family to be moral and honorable in character, if you get married and stay married and hold your family together, and keep the trash out of your life, the cycle will be broken in a generation. That, and learn a trade and work at it. Its not magic and its not a mystery but it works like magic for millions of people the world over.

It's hard to keep quiet and continue observation of those who are oh so misled in reality. But it's also not surprising when the education system is geared for automatons.

I first heard it in the 1960s as part of the radical Bill Ayers-style Communist assault on America and our values. It's been standard in our (Communist) college classrooms for the past 50+ years, again as part of the deconstruction of America.
I look forward to hearing about Officer Liu’s and Officer Ramos’ white privilege.
(Yes, Puerto Ricans are on average mostly of European heritage, but I suspect they’re not the kind of white people most people who natter on about “white privilege” have in mind.)
