They have to be refrigerated because... the US is one of few nations that WASHES their eggs. Unwashed eggs will keep on the kitchen counter for weeks.

Prediction:
- California eggs will be sold out of State.
- Eggs in California markets will come from out of State.
- Winners: Fuel producers and truckers.
- Losers: Low-income consumers.

Nah, gives them away, just wants egg cartons. Has some fruitful persimmons too.
Urbans are probably more affected by California’s lunacy.

Vegans and other crackpot dietary Nazi people simply have control issues. They want to feel in complete control and so they go about it by being difficult for the sake of being difficult.

When I buy chicks I buy 10-15 sexed pullets. Then I buy 5 straight run. Two or three of those will be roosters.
And when I hatch some from my incubator at least half are roosters. Fine eating after about three months.

Im surprised this hasnt been highlighted on FR already. Egg prices have doubled in the last few weeks! In what country?
Here in Connecticut, I just bought two dozen eggs this morning and saw nothing unusual about the price at all.
To: SamAdams76
Wolesale egg prices are at an all-time high, well over $2.00. If you haven’t been affected yet, you will be!

Aldi’s eggs had been $1.49/ dozen for a while, then last week I noticed they were $2.29! Thought for sure someone used a 2 instead of a 1 by mistake. Didn’t get any because I had just got some at 4/$5 at Kroger.
We could raise chickens here, we have enough property and a bonus would be pissing off one of the neighbors. Should try to see what other animals is legal to have here in town. lol
Knew all of those free e-books about chickens might come in handy.

Thats when Californias new regulations on egg-laying hens goes into effect. No worries. The shortage and price increase will be very short lived. Georgia has a large poultry industry, and we will be honored to take up Californistan's slack.
We are a Right To Lay state.
In O! so many ways.

If a rooster lays an egg on a roof, which way does it roll?
I’ll announce the answer once I’ve completed testing.
To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks
I guess it’s impossible in states other than California for farmers to increase production and produce more chickens for eggs. (snicker)
