Alan Dershowitz tries to get noted child rapist, Roman Polanski off the hook in US courts

The Dersh is a publicity hound. I remember a clip of him during the OJ murder farce: On a tread mill with a beeper just in case the needed him. Like he didn't have a cellphone/cordless/grunt to get him.

He must be up in years by now. A Boston radio guy whose wife engaged Dershowitz to sue Imus (successfully), was wondering earlier in the year about Dershowitz publicly speaking out conservatively on some issues, saying "he didn't need the grief" from the pc crowd at this point (semi-retired) in his life.

Dershowitz is back to his old publicity games defending Polanski.

Probably channeling F. Lee Bailey, imho.

Well, Menendez is still in the Senate and he gave his pimp doctor buddy lots of Medicare cash in exchange for trips to other countries in order to abuse underage prostitutes. Nobody seems to care. This country is going down the tubes.

I do not see the victim’s request as the only consideration. There are more 13 y/o girls in our country. Part of the reason for either incarcerating this predator or keeping him out of the country is to protect future victims, not just to punish him for drugging and then forcibly raping a very young and innocent girl.

That wasn’t the consideration for the original court and the deal that was made at the time. It was to dismiss the five initial charges in exchange for a guilty plea to the lesser charge of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse. Then the sentence was to be for time served. And that was it!
