“These Freepers are a bunch of one-toothed, tobacco chewing hicks who wouldnt know a good film if it bit them in the ass.”
This actually made me laugh out loud. I’m going home for Christmas, and baseball season is long over, and that always makes me crave Beech Nut chewing tobacco.
I just bought a new pouch last night! LOL!!
Guilty as charged, sir! (Except the ‘one tooth’ part - 48 years and not a single cavity. It’s the only thing genetic I’ve got going for me)
Gotta love freepers.
Is English your first language?
oh no another newby speaking, just what we don’t need.
Yes I meant to say Exodus, not Genesis. Moses runs around with armor on in this movie and is depicted as a gladiator, swinging a sword and fighting with Pharaoh. The part about the Red Sea being parted by an earthquake was put in because the director wanted to make it a secular movie and has said such.
“Ridley Scott is an established director who can essentially make whatever film he wants, but when he creates a film based on a pivotal biblical story and renders it significantly unrecognizable, the marketplace will respond negatively”

Now this part does bother me a bit because it is anti-biblical. The bible makes clear that Moses was a very meek man. Moses is never depicted in scripture as a warrior. That was Joshua's gig.
Oh I understand the differences of the two movies. I’m confused on what the current movie is covering.
That is supposed to be an angel or messenger of God. It might not have been a good way to go -- they were trying to get away from the God as disembodied voice-over of other movies, like DeMille's -- but it's not supposed to be God Himself.
You criticize, call me a newbie, and never respond!
Old Troll! But Troll you are!!!!
I've come around to your viewpoint. This think looks like Noah all over again. I'll only watch it if it eventually comes to Netflicks. Maybe not even then.
Since Pharaoahs were considered reincarnations of gods as well as earthly kings, there are in fact two gods and two kings in the movie.
Only one set wins, however.
And, of course, one of the gods is false :)
