Well, Lincoln was inciting violence--to continue the war until the other side gave up. His address is a mix of fact and interpretation.

It's true that it had been 87 years since the Declaration of Independence. But was the central idea of the American Revolution "all men are created equal" or "when any government become abusive of their rights, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it"?

If the Democrats had won the 1864 election and allowed the Confederate States to exist as a separate country, "the government of the people, by the people, for the people" would not have perished from the earth. The US would have continued with 25 states instead of 36 (including 5 where slavery was still legal).

It is sad that our country is filled with the likes of Michael Brown. These young people don't stand a chance, especially when you have opportunists, black and white on both side of the political spectrum promoting hate and division, instead of accountability, honor, discipline, responsibility and a healthy and humble level of self-pride.

I would never vote for a pro-abortion candidate (I believe we will explain ourselves to God at our judgement), but I certainly understand why many amoral people do. Too many are bred for freebies alone; there is no love or parenting involved at all.
