If Michael Brown was "fleeing" Officer Wilson, how did all the shots land on his front side, Deona?

It foreshadowed an increase of the reporting of white police shooting blacks in self-defense, and portraying it as racism by the media.

Well, Z wasn't police, but in a perfect world...

I mean, Saint Trayvon was a drug addled thug attacking a citizen.

Social Justice Fiction is right up there with Science Fiction and True Detective/Pulp Fiction/Comix.

The fact that prosecutors did not corroborate Wilson’s testimony against physical evidence supports the grand jury was convened to appease public outcry with no intention of ever taking this officer to trial.

As I recall in the MSM reports, the grand jury was not empaneled specifically to process the Wilson/Brown case, it was empaneled to review all cases brought before it. They just happen to catch this one, and had their term of service extended to be able to complete they case they caught.

I also recall reading in the MSM that blood evidence inside Officer Wilson's car shows Brown's blood, and also show evidence of bullet damage indicating that the gun was indeed discharged inside the vehicle. (Don't recall if any residue was collected inside the car.) Why would Mr. Brown have his hand where it could be creased in the manner it was, and the resulting blood spray be inside?

Is there a problem? I believe there is. There is enough to discuss without bring up points that are false to fact. No matter how much the speaker would like to wish away the inconvenient facts.

Not worth the ink on the student loan which bought it.

If you put enough monkeys in front of typewriters, let them type randomly and wait a long enough time, articles like this will be produced.

Oh, please don’t insult science fiction by comparing it with these rantings. Science fiction actually has to make sense.

This is the Horst Wesselization of American society. Horst Wessel was a young, ill tempered Nazi thug who was killed by Communist thugs and made into a Nazi saint by Josef Goebbels. They even had a catchy song dedicated to his memory: Horst Wessel Lied. A freeper showed me the lyrics to one of the songs dedicated to the thug, Trayvon Martin.

I know many people with college degrees who can’t spell “can’t”. They spell it “cain’t”. Or “Kaint”.

Just remember, a rectal thermometer has a lot of degrees.

"However, this process proves to be even more difficult due to our inability to discuss racial issues in a country whose prosperity and place in this world was made possible as a result of racial injustice. "

Our place in this world was made possible by Plate Tectonics.

That is why we are where we are.

I would instead tender the idea that it is impossible to discuss racial issues without first stripping all the grievance bullshit away. Virtually every culture has owned slaves. Ours was the one that abolished the practice.

While there have been decidedly unfair practices in the past which held back individuals, the advancements of others since the abolishment of the institution of slavery has not been the result of that slavery, nor of those unfair practices. It has been the result of people who, through determination, inspiration, divine guidance and no small amount of luck and hard work who have pushed the boundaries of knowledge and innovation back to create the world we enjoy, where even the poor have devices which would have been considered wonders, marvels, or even witchcraft at the time of the abolition of slavery on these shores.

All partake of that advancement to some degree, all stand on the shoulders of those individuals accomplishments, right down to the computer on which the writer composed this reeking nonsense.

If individuals consistently fail to accomplish and achieve in this country, I would suggest that using events of the distant past as an excuse is a cultural phenomenon embraced by those of a particular culture, self-imposed, and will continue to be a burden as long as it is presented as the excuse for failure.

Every culture has suffered its wrongs in history. Those are a new starting point for the achievements of the future--but only if those of that culture are willing to achieve.

Very interesting.

Her account has Martin attacking Zimmerman in fear for his life, not Zimmerman attacking Martin as was the consensus liberal story. Apparently the facts of the case are slowly sinking in.

There are, I think, genuine problems with our present self-defense laws. Had Martin managed to kill Zimmerman during their fight, he might have had a decent case for self-defense himself.

Laws that allow whichever party survives to claim self-defense should be re-examined. There have been other cases of this type in Florida. Some of them involving black men killing white men “in self-defense.” Never made the news, of course.

Comes down to this: If two men get into a dispute, it escalates into a fight and one man dies, should the other be automatically entitled to claim self defense in cases where there was no obvious initiator of the dispute/fight? If you ever been there when a barfight starts, you’re aware not every dispute has a “perpetrator” and a “victim.”

This is, BTW, the rationale behind the unjustly much maligned on the right “duty to retreat” doctrine. This was not a liberal touchy-feely recent innovation. It goes back many centuries in common law. It was based on the common-sense idea that two men who get into a fight may both be guilty of assault. If self-defense is automatically available for the survivor to claim, he may face lesser penalties for killing a man than if he’d only injured him. Giving him a legal incentive to kill instead of wound. That’s messed up.
