How 'bout we quit wasting trillions of dollars on gibsmedat? Then we can afford all the infrastructure maintenance and improvements we need.

Take the money from EPA, Homeland inSecurity and the IRS and transfer it to infrastructure spending. Cut back on the Obama’s white hut expenses. DC has more than enough funny money to spend.

My state of Texas never gets back its fair share of dollars.

For an overall map, see here (If the link doesn't work for you, the map indicates that TX gets $0.91 back per $1.00).

That’s overall. But I’m interested in the allocation of federal motor fuels taxes whose revenues are a user fee and are used for road construction and maintenance.

If Willie Green were still here, he could tell you why we need increased fuel taxes - to subsidize rail road travel and add more choo choos.
