Connecting with the natural cycles as we die or grieve the loss of a loved one helps us heal by reminding us that we are ultimately part of an incredible ecological system.

Well if you subtract the soul, you could say that about any creature.

Except that while some animals do grieve, I don't think it's possible for them to "connect with the natural cycles" as they do so. In fact, that goes beyond mere intelligence, which might be aware of natural cycles, but feel no need to "connect" with them to alleviate grief.

So in fact, the use of the word "connect" reveals a distinct allegiance to spirituality, which is contradicted by the invocation of carbon dioxide against cremation, from which global warming totalitarianism is obliquely supported.

Therefore, I am offended.
