what I do not understand is how you plan on getting from 54 votes to convict to 67 votes in favor of conviction. Until you have a better plan than ‘we don’t know until we try’ you and the rest of the crew posting these impeachment threads are wasting bandwidth.
I’m sorry but I do not subscribe to the “Do noting and stick our heads in the sand” approach that you apparently seem to be advocating.

Fine, but come up with something that has at least a smidgen of a chance of success. The only thing you’ve come up with is impeachment. You know as well as anyone that 13 democrat senators will not commit political suicide by voting to remove The First Black President from office. So why do you keep advocating a plan that is doomed to failure?
The GOP will do anything to appear not to be rocking the (sinking) boat!
What people don’t seem to realize is that there is going to be a shutdown but because our side has been calling it off the table we are setting up Obama to take the blame this time. Once we do that, some Democrats may see the light and get us to 67. If we screw this up, we will get pushback from emboldened Dems.
Good luck with that. The dems will be able to blame the republicans for any shutdown because he media will be on their side.
