That was actually part of the reason that I posted it. Why did National Review have it at the top of the page for the past several days?
About 4 paragraphs from the top, the author is mildly offended because Rush - and many people at Free Republic, including me - have been saying that for years.
After Buckley's death, the National Review editor, Rich Lowry, has slowly but surely moved NR to the political center.
I pretty much gave up on NR in 2006 when they refused to vigorously oppose the Bush-McCain immigration Amnesty, which was almost identical to Obama’s Amnesty.
After NR fired John Derbyshire in 2012 for alleged racism, I refuse to read NR at all.
A long time ago, but it’s an idea worth re-exploring.

My husband retired this year and another company, one he had done business with, actually gave him a retirement party. After the party, the man who gave it, told me that the reason they gave him a party was because he was the most ethical person that they had ever done business with.
