Kevin Williamson (the author of this piece, not credited here) is a national treasure.
Williamson’s essay on the “trans moment” titled “Laverne Cox is not a woman” is a masterpiece of confronting hysteria with common sense.
She ran against Chris Coons in 2010. She could have been bat-shit crazy and still have been better than him...or Joe Biden, whom she ran against earlier.
In any case, she ran in the primary and won fair & square. The GOP-E attacked her with more vigor than they ever would against a Democrat, which has also been my experience in the local races here in southern Arizona.
Kevin D. Williamson may not like her. He may think she is nuts. But she ran and won against a well known moderate Republican, which is why he reflexively attacks her 4 years later. She had nothing to do with the subject at hand, unless you want me to believe that Wendy Davis ran against a well known moderate Democrat and won the primary, and THEN suffered from as many attacks by Democrats as from Republicans.
Unfortunately I haven’t seen the ads... No TV. But Burton is getting my vote.
Libtard Willis was the president of my HOA for a long while. She stinks.
Some women came to my door for Pilar Candelaria... Speaking Spanish. I told them don’t waste my time... I’m not voting for her. Unfortunately I’m certain my illegal alien neighbors will.
IF... I had one special bottle left of mt best home-made Brandy that I was saving for a special occasion, I think I would be getting it out and mixing it up with same fine Macanudo Cafe’s on Tuesday night. Yup, that’s the plan. Can’t wait... MSNBC is going to be a sob-fest. I wonder if I’ll get a tingle down my leg...
... and don’t forget, they need to remind them that elections have consequences... AND the election is over, we won
What does he say about the Senate races?
lol.
O'Donnell wasn't a liberal and Stevenson isn't claiming she was. He's merely noting she was an empty vessel -- which she was.
Though an empty vessel, admittedly, might still be preferable to RINO Mike Castle...
I thoroughly enjoyed Williamson’s piece on Lena Dunham, especially the description of her “morbidly obese emotion”.
“.....You see a lot of this, even here, where people have their devotion to certain politicians or even pseudo politicians who would be lucky to crack 42% in any election. But they ignore the facts and flaws and charge ahead anyway. “
You’ve broken the code!!! The Tea Party needs to vet candidates, but since they are not a “party” in the real sense of the word, the tend to run people they love rather than people who can win. I love The Tea Party, but they need to grow up and find candidates that appeal to those who are outside their relatively small circle.
They are not a party, so there isn't anyone to vet anyone.
Its just ordinary people who stand up, with no particular political experience, and take on the party machine. And usually get savaged for their pains. Once in a while they win, but no thanks and no help from the party. What they did to O'Donnell they also did to other so-called tea party candidates, and anyone who runs against GOPe. The tea candidate gets no party support even when they have a chance of winning. The attacks from the party are often worse than the attacks from the Democrats.
You are so right! And what they did to Chris McDaniel here in Mississippi takes the cake!
She is term limited already.
Texas needs to be ready when she runs outside of just a big city voting block.
