I still don’t understand why we have early voting. Have it on election day, if you care that much, you’ll make it to the polls.

I used to agree with you, but after the 2012 ballot in Florida and the 2-3 hour long lines to vote, I voted early this past Friday. The ballot wasn't quite as long this time yet I'm sure that lots of folks will see it for the first time on election day and spend 30 minutes mulling over their votes.
