I have “liberal” co-workers who act just like that. Any criticism of obama or Democrats is answered with angry shouting.

It’s deliberate hypocrisy, too. Per Alinsky rules, it’s not the morality of a stance, an action, or a thought, it’s how effective it is in reaching their goal. They used to try to hide their hypocrisy back when enough people cared. They don’t anymore, they boast of it. Enough people, the kind who support leftists, no longer care.
There are no more liberals. They are leftists. Most of the current generation always were leftists.
