"It should be the Peace Corps Volunteers going to fight Ebola instead of our 101st Airborne Division."
The Peace Corps would be a perfect choice. What exactly is our National security interests in these African sh!tholes to warrant boots on the ground??????? To expose our troops to a deadly virus like Ebola is criminal. Anything they build there will be stolen, dismantled and sold on the 'black' market.
What is truely criminal is giving these useless third world Ebola ridden cockroaches visas to enter this country. Once they're here, they never leave.
From the Washington Compost:
An immigration expert and critic of the Obama administrations immigration policies said Thursday that the Liberian man who fell ill with ebola this week after arriving in Dallas, should not have been issued a visitors visa because he presented a high risk of remaining in the United States illegally.
If you look at his circumstances, it should have been really tough for him to qualify for a visa, Vaughn said. She noted that Duncan reportedly was single, jobless, living away from his home country and had a number of relatives in the U.S. all factors that often indicate a person is unlikely to return home after their visa expires. He clearly appears unqualified.

"Are you suggesting soldiers sent to fight ebola are doing so by remote control? If you fight something to contain something, you sorta gotta be pretty close to it. Doncha think? No, obviously you do not think."
What exactly is the mission there? If they are directly working with infected bodies or sick people - they absolutely need the correct gear.
I have been tracking this and studying the effects of this since July. I've also read "The Hot Zone" and every bit of information I can find about the virus. To say that a person "does not think" just because they don't agree with you is traditionally a liberal tactic. I don't find it helpful in this discussion.

Yes I’m sure there is some kind of apocalypse chamber in the WhiteHut. I think there are several large places around the country that they will herd the Legislators, SCOTUS etc and their families to also. I heard there was one under the Denver Airport don’t know if its true or not. I think there is one in the Catskills also.
The rest of us will be left to a WTF moment. LOL!

This has nothing to do with personality conflicts. Why do you suppose that until Barry, anyone that had clue 1 about ebola had a suit on if there was even a possibility they close to being in an area with it?
Your caviler attitude is what gets people killed. It’s what helps Barry promote the no bid deal mentality.
these guys are being sent into areas filled with it. Not the furthest point from it. did your pop sci book tell you that? No. But common sense does. As does the many reports on this telling us ‘they are going to ‘combat’ it’.

.Would you believe it’s the exact opposite? My friend has a nephew in the Peace Corps who served in Monrovia, Liberia, and he was sent back to the USA in August without even being allowed to go to his place and get his stuff.

My understanding was that they would be moving supplies and building hospitals. How would they go about containing the outbreak?

Sadly the republican budget cuts killed that. You see, studies on dateless fat girls and lesbians took higher priority.
And please, spare me the bully fat shaming and homophobic comments... Lord Barack only has so much money in these troubled time and sacrifices must be made for the good of all people. Do the vets can pound salt.

If we are ever going to be ready for a bio attack from Islam, then it is time to start preparing, and this Ebola situation is the perfect time to start promoting everyone to see the big picture and to be prepared for the future.
We need to be able to treat many patients and to have the ability and preplanning to quickly expand into treating thousands if the need ever arises.

Moving supplies to hospitals filled with infected people perhaps? Otherwise what is the point of our military doing it? Why not the same people that delivered supplies to those hospitals since they were built? And if they build new ones? Are they built to handle ebola patients or plastic surgery cases?
They would go about containing the outbreak by getting all the points of infection into a localized area and not letting it out. like areas with hospitals that sick people gravitate to. Which ramps up the potential for infection if one follows some freeper advice and doesn’t wear a suit while in the middle of it.
