Damn! I'd say you must be the best shot on all of FreeRepublic!
Geez, where did you manage to find a pic of Dick Lugar? That POS was one of my senators before Indiana decided to expunge the RINO.
Get it here!!

Yer shootin’ “high left “ ...... what’s gotcha nervous ?
Snoot ;o)
It’s a gun. It’s EEEEEEEEEEvil!
“That Ruger in 9mm looks like a winner to me. Thanks.”
Also check out the S&W Shield, Taurus 709, or the small Glocks.
I carry the 709 IWB. It’s comfortable, reliable, and accurate. It also has a manual safety, as does the Ruger and S&W, which I prefer, in addition to the trigger and drop block safety.
I really liked my CZ 75 BD. It was one of the most accurate and reliable pistols I’ve ever fired.
I have the book, “John M. Browning, American Gunmaker”. One of the most interesting things to me is that of all the truly great guns he designed or invented, his favorite was the little .32 auto as made by FN and Colt.
The book mentions that he loved to go hiking around the hills above Ogden with the little .32. He apparently carried a lot of ammo and would plink as he hiked.
In secret he practiced a quick draw with it out of a pocket. He then one day surprised his brothers by showing them just how fast he could draw and fire it.
Starting with the 1878 high powered single shot which the Browning Brothers actually produced in their black smith shop to the Superposed which was his last design there were so many great gun that it would take a long time to list them all, yet that little .32 was his favorite.
That little .32 also pulled FN out of near bankruptcy and before long they had made over a million of them. FN never again had to face bankruptcy and now are probably the largest small arms maker in the world.
Yeah, I should have move the target over.
That matches the factory sighting target, that’s where it shoots, bit high & left. May need to drift the rear sight.
Actually, I was kiddin’ ya a bit ! For a fast “ empty yer mag “ session at a stationary target that wasn’t shootin’ back - that’s a damn good lookin’ group brutha !!
Snoot ;o)
“For EDC I prefer the GyroJet in 13x50mm rocket.”
I have a MkII 12mm and a few rounds. Worked at MB Associates in 1968 and was responsible for making the Gyrojet compliant with the Fed Firearms Act of 1968.
Had to be under .500 and had to have “rifling” although said “rifling” doesn’t engage the round. Also developed PM nozzles to improve accuracy and lower cost.
Have you tried the Sig 238 or the new Glock 42? I have both and like the Sig better.
Better hurry then while you can still get one through SSE (single shot exemption).
That door closes Jan 1.
if the LCP has compliance issues in kommiefornia, they must love GLOCKs.
26 IWB 4 o’clock (so i don’t fall on it and break my spine), 2 extra mags hornady critical defense and ragged hole shot groups in the 9 ring rapid fire at 7m. next range time i’m pushing out to 10m.
Get a SIG or a Glock - preferably in .45.
My Kimber does real good work.
“...My daily carry is both a Ruger LCP in 380...”
I carry my little Ruger LCP 380 everywhere I go. I keep a 9mm in the truck and the long guns at home.
I always hear about some “expert” bad mouthing anything less than a .45 but that is plain B.S.. A .22 short can kill if the shot is placed properly.
It’s not the size of the bullet, it’s the placement of the shot that counts.
Lots of decent weapons to choose from - find something that fits your hand well and is also sutiable for how you want to carry. My wife carries a Taurus Slim 9mm in her purse and I carry either a Ruger or Kahr .380 pocket pistol. The 9mm has decent stopping power and I suggest some form of hollow point to not only give better results, but to keep from going through and hitting someone else - a 9mm with a jacketed bull nose will go through a person or two from close quarters. My .380s have Hornady Critical Defense rounds and are OK for close range protection but the biggest concern is ease of concealment with them - small size gives one a few extra options.
I’m not a fan of Glocks, but the Sig would be a contender for holster space. I find the 3” barrel shooters to be great short range concealable weapons. I also have other carry pistols, including a S&W 329 44 Mag while in bear country.
“Damn! I’d say you must be the best shot on all of FreeRepublic!”
If you ever get your hand on a Ruger LCP, you’ll know what I mean. It will hit Minute of Bad Guy all day.
