I sure hope you have a verified source for that.....
Otherwise that is a VERY irresponsible statement.
Anybody that is familiar with peacetime vs wartime military doctrines will call BS on this.....BIG TIME!!!
They don’t announce it on CNN that’s for sure. you are not going to get the Swedes or the US for that matter to tell you they are doing it.
If still alive. And no armed political officer in the compartment with me...
In the freezing cold water, little oxygen, no lights, upside down trapped below wreckage and debris? You might freeze to death before dying from lack of oxygen.....
Ed Kennedy’s girlfriend/lover died after only 12 hours submerged.

Yep. People always enjoy NOT paying the exorbitant taxes on liquor...which can be avoided by making it oneself.
The booze we made was 180 proof and so it was cut in half with "sweet water," that is, plain water. I tried it once. That was enough.
The Brits said that it left you "legless" and indeed it did: my THIGHS ached the following morning. That was enough for me.
ONE way that it wasn't disgusting was with coffee flavoring a la "Kalua," added with real cream and some sugar--it wasn't so bad.
Oh well. That was then.
THIS is where I belong, in the good ole U.S.A., home sweet home.
So, in other words, you just surmised it.
Or, to put it bluntly, you just f...ing made it up.
To accuse ANY country of such action is unconscionable, seeing it is against international law.
Do you have ANY idea how dangerous it is? Systems fail, and this type of action in home waters would far more likely kill friendlies than trespassers.
Suppose a US sub were there (and they DO go in such waters without invitation) and the system you envision took it out. Do you REALLY think any country would risk such a thing?
Stick to subjects you know something about, and leave the rest to Tom Clancy.
This is the cause..... really
A walrus was discovered asleep atop a Russian submarine.

I’ve been hearing in the news for years that the Russians spend a lot of time subbing around in the Swedish fjords.
I can’t help it if you don’t know that this stuff exists. In my next installment I’ll tell you about Land SAT. Until then I guess I’ll live in your head rent free. :-)
>> “Western style socialism (welfare state, gays, minorities, CO2 and all the tree hugging bullshyt) and Russian/Soviet genocidal totalitarianism have nothing to do with each other.” <<
.
You are deeply deceived.
You allow the window dressing to cover the realities of socialism.
Socialism is a total removal of the dignity, rights, and freedoms of the individual.
When our socialists (democrats) call themselves “Progressive,” they fail to identify the totalitarian Marxist socialism to which they are actively progressing.
You aid them in their deceit through your chosen blindness.

My son spent 14 years on boomers, as FT, now works at TRF in St Marys. He was aghast that anyone could imagine such a system in peacetime; and it would be dodgy in wartime.
Go back to your novels.
“You are deeply deceived.”
You are totally clueless.
What are you doing here?
People like you are the scourge FR is designed to fight.

Long ago probably about the same time I was getting a 4 year degree in Poly Sci/International Defense Systems. They don’t share it all with the Polaris techs brother. :-)
Ouch. Rough life.
Russian subs have been skirting the U.S. coast for decades. Nothing new here.
Boomer FT's....damned sure would. They MUST know the entire realm of threats, it's their job to detect and defend against them.
You are so clueless that it’s quite entertaining.
~Never has been. You could always spot a Soviet submariner by the fact he was bald and sterile.~
LOL. It is a popular myth in Russia too, but it barely projects into reality.
I had a classmate who dreamed to be a submariner since 5th grade despite a fact that Navy is not as popular as Army and Air Force (if you opted for Navy you had to serve compulsory 3 years instead of two for other branches at the time).
Not only he served his compulsory term on a nuke sub, he also signed a contract and sailed another year.
He should have spend longer in Navy if not for his mother who had enormous influence with him.
He was of Jewish ancestry, his family had extensive (relatively) jewelry business here and they thought his military service was a kind of protest against the family. She was a kind of annoyance for other kids and officers and she has finally forced him to resign aged 22.
Why am I talking about it? We have laughed that he might have left his balls on the boat or fed to the fishes but he got married and had four children before 26.
