They will be destroyed under the guise that they were ebola-infected — hard drives, chips and even software.

Yeah Bill, you should be shouting the same thing at Obama. That you don’t says a lot about your validity.

Obviously O’Reilly has sources that have given him a clear view of what lay ahead.

How many cases are in the U.S. now?

Look at the director’s history. He worked for Bloomberg in NYC...he designed the soda ban, the transfat ban, etc. He is a political hack. We have political hacks for experts. And by the way, isn’t what he is doing the job of the Surgeon General? Oops, sorry, I forgot Obolo didn’t appoint one. Who needs a Surgeon General when the world is burning down medically? Political hack in the driver’s seat!!!

The narrative is that Ebola is hard to catch, so a full hazmat suit would be to much.

When reality doesn’t match ideology, many shut down. The CDC guy is on the verge of a mental breakdown. The virus is no conforming to his worldview.

Just wait till we start losing soldiers to this. There are a few on this site who seem to think it is no big deal

It’s just not FAIR that Africans get ebola and Americans don’t! THAT’s why they won’t shut down travel from Liberia and west Africa...it’s only FAIR that Americans get it just as much as black west Africa...THAT’s what this is about!

Hard truth:

“So let’s look at that infrastructure.

There are, in fact, a total of four medical isolation units in the entire United States, as we noted yesterday, that are capable of handling infected Ebola patients near endlessly.

Where are they, and what can they handle?

Emory University’s Serious Communicable Disease Unit is in Atlanta, GA. That’s where Brantly and Writebol were treated. It has three beds. St. Patrick Hospital’s ICU Isolation Unit is in Missoula MT. It has three beds. The National Institute of Health’s Special Clinical Studies Unit is in Bethesda MD. It has seven beds. And the biggest, the Nebraska Medical Center’s Biocontainment Unit is in Omaha NE. It has ten beds.

3+3+7+10=23 beds, coast to coast.

So, for the entire country, all 316,100,000+ of us, we’re fully prepared to treat 23 Ebola patients at the same time.”

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

You won’t get a bed unless you’re here illegally or a DNC apparatchik.

It was a crime to place the federal government in the middle of US medicine, to any degree. Now a wart on one’s hinney is fodder for a political spin.

The same goes for FEMA sticking it’s fat butt into disasters and making political hay out of it. FEMA is a disaster on top of a disaster.

When the government is involved in everything they make the whole country look petty, stupid and incompetent.

OK, Freepers, time for action.

It’s after 9:00 am in DC.

Call your reps in DC and tell them the flights from West Africa through any hub HAVE TO STOP!

The place to fight this disease is at its source, not here.

The “screening” process at our airports is a joke and ineffective. 150 people a day are coming here from West Africa—that is 4500 a month. Some will show a fever and yet may be carrying the virus.

Our healthcare system will shutdown if this continues.

We already have cases in Kansas, Nebraska, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Texas.

The first order of business of a government is to protect their citizens. And this government is failing to do so.

Make the calls.

The family you save may be your own.

They are the worst of the worst. They are utterly without talent or skill or intellect. They are ignorant, arrogant, and absolutely dishonest.

They are evil schemers.

I have no respect or regard for them at all.

I will no longer put these creatures in any position to govern me. They can go to Hell where they belong.

I have had enough.

Frieden couldn’t even manage the Big Gulp ban in NYC, how’s he going to manage the Ebola situation.

I am no fan either.

I think we are on the brink of a real disaster that is probably totally avoidable.

I believe many of us will die before this is over.

We are not even taking the same measures that Firestone Rubber did in Liberia. They realized they are at war with ebola. This government is treating it like a common cold. It isn’t.

If people in ABC suits still sometimes get this disease

When I consider the training they likely had, I look back at basic training and the intense training I received in CBR.....(chemical, bio, and radiological).

"Put your gas mask on, walk into that tear gas filled garage and stand there until you're told to take off the mask........"
