I knew all those cloth bags I got at conventions during the 1990’s will finally find some decent use.
All this worrying about plastic bags. What about plastic disposable diapers? Not a peep from the enviro-nuts. But you just see, soon governor Moonbeam will dictate that we use paper diapers.
Just read an article that said the plastic bag industry in CA are promising to wage war & start a petition/referendum for Nov 2016. If they get enough signatures, good chance this ban get overturned.
They’ve already hired this firm to manage the petition/signature drive: http://www.aboutnpm.com/
They have a good track record.
Full disclaimer ... I no longer live in California, thankfully.
Wasn’t it California that first wanted us to stop using paper bags and start using plastic? I lived there at the time and remember the envirowackos told us how the trees were being sacrificed for our shopping convenience.
I expect jerry moonbeam brown to extend the ban to hospital single-use plastic containers before the end of October.

wasn’t california one of the first ones (back in the ‘80’s) to suggest banning paper bags in favor of plastic ones...
saving the forests and all that....
looney friggin tunes..
People walk in carrying their own bags and walk out with the same bags full of stuff without paying for it.
Plastic trash bags will still be around. This only counts for the bags the grocery stores put your groceries in.
I’d love to. Where do we get the money to do it?
Do you have a link to the article?
That’s good news. Thanks for forwarding that to me.
