Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs has been an ambassador for the trades, promoting jobs where you get certified in a few months to a year or two and make up to 100K. They are begging for diesel mechanics for mining equipment, jet engines, industrial equipment and so forth. There aren’t enough welders, plumbers, electricians and such. And unlike the no-skill shovel work, they can’t be done by someone who just walked across the border.
You understand, I hope, that Prof. George is one of the Christians for whom the left has no tolerance. He’s probably the foremost American Catholic thinker on these issues. We can pray that President Cruz will tap him for an important position in his administration.

I know. What I hate most is the elitism that turns it’s nose at anything less than University 4 year degree! You wouldn’t have had to pay for all those degrees if you had gone to trade school first.
