Iraq was a destabilizing force for decades. Period.

So has Syria, Saudi Arabia, Libya & Iran.

And Qatar, Oman and Ethiopia.

And Pakistan. And Algeria. And nearly every muslim led middle eastern country.

Are you suggesting the proper course is to invade?

I agree. I’m disappointed the judge didn’t refer to the two - 2,000 page reports from the team of weapons inspectors that detailed the reasons Sudam Hussein was able to convince the world he had WMD. It also explained how he used the UN Iraq Oil for Food program to build his empire, and had top ranking officials in 45 countries on his payroll to help get his UN sanctions removed. These reports were available on the DOD homepage website as pdf docs... The weapons inspector team leader even showed Tony Snow on Fox a copy of a $12 million purchase order and cancelled check for North Korea to build a nuclear war head...

I never said nothing should be done - there's alot that can be achieved without resorting to overt force.

What I am saying is invading and nation building isn't always the effective course. Sometimes its downright and tragically counterproductive. As the Chaldean Catholics in Iraq can attest (those still alive).

Well, he did invade Grenada. And he did bomb Libya. And he did sink the Iranian Navy.

What if obomba hadn’t pulled our troops and the new government had time to sort through the many problems that new enterprises face. Not saying it would have worked but I can’t imagine how it could have hurt.
