With a 40 million dollar a year salary, I could be convinced to take a package to leave. It would be a little pricey be doable.
He didn't have to -- he knocked her out with ONE punch. Boxers don't throw punches after their opponent is on the canvas, either.
Seriously, threatening her while she cowered in the corner is worse than rendering her unconscious?
But it is a textbook operation. If some of us here could coordinate a campaign like this, Joe Biden would already be president (assuming that's a good thing).
No I didnt say threatening her is worse than hitting her. I said there was a fight and one quick punch. He did not do any of those additional things which would have made it worse. I ALREADY knew he punched her and knocked her out. Do you understand that he could have been “abusing” her in about a hundred additional ways besides the fact he hit her one time? The video had no additional information yet everyone acted as though the video is what made it worse.
I said clearly he committed a crime. I doubt he had much remorse, just my guess. Do I think he hit her any other times? Hmm well since she advanced across the elevator at him I’d say she did not expect to be hit. Again, just a guess.
Interesting, isn’t it that I had first heard it was a female prosecutor. But the stories all identify a male prosecutor. Then at the bottom of one story they recount a female prosecutor who said she felt she could have gotten a conviction without the wife’s cooperation.
They also say they went lenient on him because he does a lot of charity work and they had 30 impassioned letters from charities saying he is the greatest guy in the world.
I think everything about this case and its treatment is divorced from reality.

No pity from me for Roger.
ESPN said Friday that the 3rd degree felony aggravated assault charge that the grand jury indicted Rice on could’ve led to a prison sentence of up to 5 years.
The prosecutor lied about that.
Logically any sane person would assume that a vicious physical assault against anyone in any state can lead to serious jail time. How could the laws not provide for that?
In fact the MINIMUM sentence for what Rice was indicted for was 3 YEARS. The max is 5 years. This was all reported back in March.

And as far as needing the victim’s cooperation, they had the freaking thing on video! Total baloney from the prosecutor.
Post of the Day.
