Yes, some people had high hopes for her. However she ran a disastrous campaign against Kay Hagan and lost the seat that she should have easily won. She acted like the seat belonged to her. She did not visit smaller or rural communities to meet the grassroots voters although her people certainly had no problem asking for our money. There were questions raised about her residency. She owned her family's farm but did not actually live there. But I knew it was over for her when she disparaged Hagan's religious faith though. Kay Hagan's answer was an ad with church members standing in front of the church she attended and where she taught Sunday School praising her for her strong faith and deep commitment. Instead the tables were turned on Dole. Where did Dole go to church? Where did she actually live? She looked like a carpet
bagger, who used NC just to get to DC and then felt entitled to stay there.

That’s an excellent thumbnail summary of a failed re-election campaign.

Time takes it’s toll. Not every 78 y/o can be like John (Maverick) McCain, still workin it at his age. And then there’s the mixed blessing of Jimmy Carter, 80 something, Mugabe the Destroyer of Zimbabwe, 85 y/o at least. George Soros, Notorious Manipulator of people and their money; 80 something. People judge old women more harshly anyway.

Roberts is 78 years old. Again just one of many senior geriatric patients on the Senate ward. He should be retired already. Why must these old geezers hang around and leave the Senate in a coffin. The perks must be outstanding. Also blame the voters for not removing them in the primaries.

Good, maybe Dole can wake up the sleeping in KS, but I doubt it. At least it’s good for Bob to come back to his roots for a day or two.

GA’s Jimmuh Carter turns 90 on Oct. 1, 2014. Hey, that’s just nine days away.

Oddly though “Elizabeth” was already in DC even before NC sent her to the Senate for one term.

Term limits—for senators two—maybe three as the absolute max. Hey that’s 20 years. Long enough. Again most people voting are stupid.
Roberts should have lost in the primary but same old story sticking with the RINO incumbent. Ah it all sucks anyway.

Does anyone on this forum realize that ORman is a phony? He’s no more a conservative than Harry Reid. Roberts is a good man, and we’ll need him more than ever if we regain the senate.
Come on everybody, stop bashing our side. We need to win the Senate. Each day we wake up after that will be joyous..

Correction—18 years on 3 terms. Stupid me.... (’

In Tx we will be ‘joyless’ voting for Cornball but with clothespin on nose. Somehow equating RINO’s and joyous just don’t jive together.

I can’t vote for Cornball or George P., will be leaving both races blank. They can win handily without my votes.

I could vote for Roberts if I were in KS; there are so many worse than he.

There are some litigation and questionable charity issues surrounging the Independent Candidate that have yet to be fully aired. Stay tuned!
To: conservative98
Well if you’re going to get someone to campaign for a candidate who is almost never in the state, who better than a former senator who hasn’t lived in Kansas for decades?
