With something as monumental as this, will the voting procedure/counting be safe? I have grave doubts about “who is counting the votes” (paraphrasing Stalin) in our own U.S. I am glad there is a vote being taken, settle the question once and for all, but I wonder what are the odds the count will be true, especially with such a close vote predicted?
England never conquered Scotland. In fact, the Scots ultimately repelled invasions by the Romans, Danes, Vikings, Angles, Saxons and Normans, as well as the English. One hell of a record. Amazing. There’s an old Scots saying: ‘occupied many times, but never conquered’.
The Union of 1707 happened because Scotland remained an independent country.
Hahahah, that is great stuff right there.
Done in by their own Muslims! Scottland will fail and be a poor place, and then those same Muslims will illegally or legally just move to England afterward anyway.
That is funny.
“Are there any Scots left? Last time I visited I drove through the entire country and only met a few souls...”
I keep reading that over the centuries that anyone worth their salt left and that mostly the dregs have remained behind.
That would make a lot of sense why they are so damn liberal/commie up there.
The lefty SNP is going to find a way to wreck a country that knows how to manage money.
Nonsense. The real fear is that the nationalists will demand referendum after referendum until they get the result they want.
Scotland is pretty rural. 75% of Scots live within the central valley connecting Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Don't you believe it. That is EXACTLY what they will do.
I love Scotland...but I would like to teach a workshop to the parents on good old fashioned “spanking” ;-)
