I do remember when taking a flight was fun.
But that dates me...
Flight free since Sept. 2002.
I’d rather drive, take my time, and take as much stuff as I want with me, than be harassed, molested, crammed into a flying bus with a bunch of Lofos and given some pretzels.
We still believe the function of the US government is to serve the people.
The government believes the people exist to serve the government.
I got a Quad-S boarding pass once. Airline cancelled my planned itineraty, and put me on a nonstop on another airline, one way, hours before departure. I was happy to have the flight. Anyway, TSA does the full monty on SSSS passengers. Just saying, too, that “SSSS” can be assigned for reasons other than posting stuff in public.
It’s not a “flying bus.” It’s a cattle car with wings.
Haven’t flown since 03. Take the car now. No countries that I want to visit. Not after their million man marches declaring what a bunch of war mongers and bad people we were. Of course, now they they’re a little worried...let em stew in their own crap.
So every freeper is on the pat them down at the end of the flight list?
Agreed,
I can remember when stewardesses were actually attractive.
And they smiled.
How many countries have had million man marches?
Wow! You’re really old:)
I was behind a guy who had a great bumpersticker, a quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson, “if you’re afraid of your government, you live in tyranny. If your government is afraid of you, you live in freedom.” Paraphrased.
I’m afraid of our government right now.
Europe, some in South America. Asia is appealing...but getting through someone touching my genitals and butt just to fly there...no.
Yeah, me and the Wright Bros. were like this. /s
Apologies to the forum. I regret using profanity.
I fly about 75 flights per year. I have never seen this before.
TSA agents claimed that he would be arrested if he did not comply
We call this FELONY EXTORTION in every State, the Nazi belongs in PRISON.
Something similar to this happened at an Amtrak station in Savannah some years back, to passengers who had just gotten OFF the train and weren’t travelling any farther.
Although the TSA official was fairly diplomatic given the circumstances, there seemed to be a serious lack of police(?) training on the part of the TSA official as evidenced by his side-stepping of the questions of the suspect. And what’s worse is that the official was evidently trying to follow the orders of some likewise poorly trained supervisor.
Do TSA officials swear to protect and defend the Constitution? If so, then whether they were actually taught about constitutional rights before they took the oath is another question.
Also, the fact that the suspect lost his boarding pass didn’t help his situation.
If this action by the TSA were justified, then Van Jones would have a TSA agent attached to him every flight and he'd be groped before, during and after every flight.
