Will’s and Krauthammer’s lucrative jobs are to sit there and put an intellectual sheen on the libtard’s propaganda. Democrat spews lunacy, they take it seriously, then conservatives end up debating lunacy.
I guess Chelsea Clinton quit when she did not get the gig.
Meet The Press = Make Me Depressed!
Meet the Press’s issues are the same as the issues for most all of cable.
Cable is run by liberals.
Every single network, is run by liberals. Not just liberals, but activist, biased, “use every bit of political power in your job every single day” liberals.
Liberals who use politics in decisions of who they hire, who they promote, and in everything they do.
Fox News is about the only exception to the bias, though they have bias in the other direction (clearly they are in favor of the “classical” conservatism which is mainstream in America today, rather than a take back America for production, and success conservatism I believe we need).
Basically however, cable is completely overrun by liberals.
Totally.
No, Luke Russert’s other qualification is that he’s a committed, boot-licking, socialist ideologue. That he is the spawn of Tim, gives him entre to the effete liberal Manhattan martini salons, and thus the qualification to be vastly overcompensated, despite his conspicuous lack of credentials.
“The new host, Chuck Todd, is a fine choice.”
The author has no idea of what he is talking about. Chuck Todd has not said one interesting or intelligent thing in his career. He only parrots the Democrat Party talking points. That is why he has his high paid job.
Then the author says these shows are entertainment masquerading as news. Nothing in these MSM talk shows is in any way entertaining. It is just the mind numbing repetition of the same talking points.
No one of any intelligence watches any of these shows. Despite continual promotion by the networks, the small group of viewers gets smaller every year.
My grandpa (God rest his soul) when watching Meet the Press would occasionally walk up to the TV, turn around, and let one rip, saying (in Sicilian) “I fart in your face”.
One thing I can’t stand are these hurried 5 minute interviews while the host cuts the guests off incessantly.
O’Really and Cavuto come to mind.
Actually, after she had the honor of interviewing the GEICO gecko, she was at the top of her profession and there was nowhere to go but down. So she quit.
Press the Meat
I stopped watching the Sunday morning shows almost 15 years ago. I stopped watching the cable news channels maybe a year and a half or so ago.
It’s really shocking, when these things aren’t part of your daily or weekly routine, to flip them on randomly and realize how banal and intellectually vacant they are. I watched maybe 10 minutes of O’Reilly back in February and about 20 minutes of Hannity in July and it’s just screamfest. No substance, no efforts at persuasion, no unique insights anywhere. It was like watching wrestling or something, only with people in expensive suits. It’s a little embarrassing that I watched that stuff regularly for so long.
Thanks Kaslin.
> The new host, Chuck Todd, is a fine choice. But thats just one piece of the puzzle. The host he replaces, David Gregory, was part of the problem, not the whole problem. The problems with Meet The Press are not unique to Meet The Press; theyre across the board for all cable networks and news programs. The biggest problem is they dont do news anymore; they do entertainment masquerading as news. Cable news has some of the best journalists in the business...
Did it ever come to your mind that they only so much time for an interview and if they allow the other person to keep on talking they never get a word in?
The only Sunday Show I watch after I record it on my cable dvr is: Fox News Sunday and I fast forward when a liberal is up. I am just not interested what a liberal has to say
You’re welcome
+1000!
“after she had the honor of interviewing the GEICO gecko, she was at the top of her profession and there was nowhere to go but down.”
Can you imagine what would have been the result if this happened the other way around and the gecko interviewed her? Same result, the Geico would be on the way down too but for a different rationale: he would have been at the bottom of his achievement.
A 5 minute interview is ridiculous and I’m not talking about interviewing hacks.
At times truly interesting guests are on with subjects that can’t be covered in five minutes no matter how sound bite obsessed our society is. In fact, that is what our problem is and why the general population is so misinformed.
