There's a big difference between E-cigs (trade name) and Blues (trade name). I've tried both and found the Blues while needing to puff about 3 times to get the taste put out no odor. It's just water vapor. The E-cigs are much stronger and I can smell them after just one puff. While stronger with just one puff they are a hassle to deal with the oil and filter that needs periodic cleaning.

I'm almost down to nothing since the Blues. No one, I repeat no one has ever complained about the Blues, even outside of restaurants. You cannot smell them, period. Anyone who says they can is having a psychosomatic response.

My father is 79 years old and has smoked at least 2 packs a day since he was 20. Surprisingly enough , he has developed lung problems within the last few years. He was unable to quit smoking, but recently started vaping instead. He has felt better for the past several months since giving up smoking. I know that this is just one case, not a scientific study, but it sure does seem sensible that it would be better for one's health to inhale nicotine instead of nicotine plus tars, carbon monoxide and a whole host of other poisonous chemicals. Sure, e-cigs aren't totally safe, but they seem better than the traditional cigarettes that they are meant to replace.

according to webmd, nicotine does not cause cancer, but it does nicotine promotes the growth of existing cancer cells. So as long as you don’t have any of those you’re probably alright.

http://www.webmd.com/cancer/news/20060720/nicotine-speeds-lung-cancer

oh yeah, and it also raises your blood pressure — so if you don’t have that either i’m sure you’ll be fine.

Nicotine is found in many nightshade variety plants including tobacco (its strongest naturally occurring concentration), tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, cauliflower, and medium to hot peppers. Just saying.

Nicotine is no more harmful than the caffeine in coffee or soft drinks.

The terror surrounding e-cigs is the drastic decrease of tax monies going into the communist tax coffers. That's the real terror, and the only reason for all these high-drama articles.

If tobacco taxes stopped completely, every state in the USA would be bankrupt within one month, even those with healthy budgets now.

Nicotine is an addictive chemical. Is this news to anyone?

At least e-cigs don't have all the grunge from burning vegetation.

The only e-cigs one should be smoking are the ones that fill your hand habit and nothing more.

Ya she’s really hooked.
I just got into vaping this last Sunday. Haven’t wanted a cig. yet.
It takes some experimentation but I have settled in to about 3-4 puffs every 1 to 1-1/2 hours. I plan to go weaker on the juice every time I re-up. All the way down to zero.

40 fags a day

Big deal, Lindsay Graham goes through that many before noon.

Several years ago, when I feeling particularly stupid with some friends, we decided to reverse the methods of consumption for tea and pipe tobacco.
We made tobacco tea, and smoked the tea leaf.
Smoking the tea leaf was uneventful.
I personally declined to drink the tobacco tea, but my two friends who did were totally sick after two or three sips.
The reason for this, we found out, is because nicotine is highly poisonous in large doses. If my friends drank the entire cup of “tea,” they probably would have gone into shock. Ingesting tobacco will make you sick, as anyone who dips tobacco and swallows by accident well tell you.
Having said that, you’ll know if you have too much nicotine. You’ll feel nauseous. Vaping isn’t smoking - it’s much less harmful to your lungs. Nicotine by itself, in controlled doses, is about as the same as caffeine.
People are so squeamish. Let people consume tobacco.
Just because it’s HARAM doesn’t mean Americans can’t enjoy it...
Remember, Mr. “We’re all Muslims” Mike Bloomberg was the nanny who started this fanatical anti-smoking movement.

We must immediately ban all tomatoes, potatoes and eggplant because they contain nicotine! What a pant load.

I'm shocked! Not!

I'm shocked, yes. Truly.
Because I can never be convinced that there is such a large percentage of the population that are dangerously stupid.

For decades we have been bombarded by propaganda from the States and Federal governments about the thousands of poisonous chemicals smoking produces.

These apocalyptic chemicals were not enough to ban the sales of the product. Instead, they taxed tobacco so that now 90% of the price is government theft that is spent in ways that have nothing to do with promoting health, unless redistribution promotes healthy living.

All these morons, including the government nannies have no clue what a microgram is or the common presence of many of those same poisons in common foods.

(I know this story is from the UK, but it equally applies to the all pioneers of this exploitation, including the People's Dominion of Canada.)

Having said all that, what about vaping? What normal person starts to use that new product or any new product without investigating the effects?
Ecigarettes can be obtained with zero nicotine content. Also in varying reduced percentages as compared to conventional cigarettes. What this woman did is profoundly ignorant : getting ecigarettes with nicotine content greater than her old brand, PLUS smoking more for whatever reason.
A good number of smokers can quit cigarettes and nicotine if the habit is psychological, rather than physical, just by smoking zero nicotine Ecigarettes.

Anti smokers are going to bash vaping to keep the crusade alive

Like MADD or SPLC and so forth

My wife smoked a pack a day of Marlboro Lights until 9 months ago

Then she trued Blues etc.....worked a little... better than nothing

So I bought her a fancy vape nail

She started on 24mg saffire tobacco flavor

Now she’s on 8mg....not sure how low she’ll get

Is it completely risk free...I doubt anyone knows

But her coughing and congestion is gone

No heat or sugars or additives etc going into her lungs and cardiovascular

Nicotine itself is not particularly harmful unless overdosed or inhaled as smoke

But the anti cigarette mob has vested itself so much they are not likely to let smokers off so easily
