Part of the scenario that led up to these “gay marriage” travesties is that ordinary marriage became more and more hollow. “Gay marriage” is not aping “holy matrimony.” It is aping something that has become a farce in all but name. It was easy to apply “equal protection” and such equivocation to such a farce.
C. S. Lewis knew about this trend in Britain in the 1950s. He had proposed a bifurcation of church and government marriage, however he probably didn’t anticipate that things would go this crazy. It has been suggested more recently that government get out of the marriage business and recognize “households” without respect to real or alleged sexual activity. Government has become too incompetent to be regulating marriage.
Seems a State Judge just struck the Ban down!

Something like this shoots the issue to the state supreme court.
