You don’t see mass protests when a black kid is shot by another black kid, nor when there’s a black on white crime. Part of it’s politics, the other part of it is that “man bites dog” is news but “dog bites man” usually isn’t.

Yes, it’s certainly tribal (gangs) and territorial. Certain gangs have certain blocks and members of other gangs enter that space at their peril.
On FOX’s Special Report yesterday, Jason Riley a black reporter for the Wall Street Journal, pooh-poohed very white Kirsten Powers musings about black kids getting gunned down on a routine basis by racist, white cops. Riley, who grew up in NYC, said he never had any trouble with the police. Because he stayed away from trouble. The only people he worried about getting shot by were other black males. Powers didn’t put up much of a rebuttal.
Blacks are 12% of the population, but make up over half the population of maximum security prisons. That’s not proof of “racism” or some grand conspiracy against black people, it’s proof that blacks commit most of the murders, armed robberies, and rapes in this country.
