I don’t jump on board the anti or pro police bandwagons without evidence, which we have here. In this case I will side with the police. The guy had a knife which he refused to drop. The shots that were fired as he was on the ground appear to have been bean bag rounds.
i read it here. month or two’ago.
“Some bad cops are spoiling the whole bunch for every cop”
No, the ‘good’ cops constantly protecting the bad cops is spoiling their reputation. Any group will be judged by the worst behavior they allow their own.
I had one a week ago saying how most cops are good, they are just powerless against the bad cops. Really? How is that? If the Bad cops are so few, then why is it that good cops are powerless to stop them?
People like me don’t trash cops because of the bad cops. We trash cops because ‘good’ cops still choose Team Blue over right and wrong. ‘Good’ cops allow bad cops to keep going, and even defend them. ‘Good’ cops stood up for Harless. ‘Good’ cops defended the Dorner hunt cops, instead of voicing their outrage at such cowards.
And that doesn’t even address the constant excess violence like SWATing innocent people or minor offenders. Using tricks and gimmicks to get around the Constitution. Or the bad attitudes and disrespectful conduct we see CONSTANTLY. I’ve watched videos of rude as hell cops cool off quick, once they realize they are on film.
There is no such thing as a good cop. A good cop, is an ex cop who can no longer tolerate what he sees.
