You seem to have a limited capacity for reading comprehension: does “On some level” mean nothing to you?
That may be pretty close to what happened especially when the police chief in his press conference begins his story with a shot fired from the front seat of the car and then leaves out everything after that.
eyewitnesses lie, but show me the autopsy and scene reconstruction report. If that kid does not have power burns and entry wounds in the front, the cop should do some time.
Yet no one has yet verified this is his record. Palmer stated it came from a blog and was unable to verify it.
I wonder... could the involved officer be female?
Interesting that the identity of the POPO is being concealed.
Wonder what will happen when they are id’d?
I was just going from the article that stated there was “an exchange of words”.
As I pointed out, as a Teenager I would never have an “exchange of words” with a Police Officer, period. It’s yes Sir, no Sir, period. My Father made it very clear to me how to act when questioned by the Police.
As an Adult, I would probably have a different take when dealing with the Police, but we aren’t discussing that.
Being a Teenager, if I came off as a smart ass when dealing with a Police Officer, my Father would be kicking mine.
We shoot when we are about to be killed or someone else is...period. These cops around the nation, many whom have become union spoiled brats with 100% pay pensions at 55, are trigger happy! Good God!
this incident has a little background, and the officer may have had more probable cause to stop Brown than just jaywalking:
This QuikTrip is where things started yesterday with this case, based on various accounts, French said. Mike and his friend were accused of stealing gum from the store or some sort of cigarettes.

Well it’s not like there were no witnesses on the scene but the PD is not going to tell the name unless there is an indictment or they are forced to do so by a court order.
In other news the COD per preliminary autopsy is “multiple gunshot wounds” though they won’t say how many.
And the autopsy won’t be releaseed for weeks as they wait for .... toxicology results.
And when they find THC in his blood they plan to blame everything on him.
The blue wall has gone up —
That has not been confirmed even though it would be simple to do for the police.
Either way there was no police dispatch on the matter that this officer would have received.
Oh, my reading comprehension is just fine. You ripped the cops with strawman examples and then likened shooting people to shooting dogs.
I think ‘on some level’ was just another strawman. Can you put some flesh on the ‘on some level’ bones?
Understood. Thanks.
Sure. with so many cops having a hair-trigger shooting harmless and innocent dogs, I find the black community’s claims that they do the same with their citizenry more credible.
I find this interesting. I looked for some statistics. There are approximately 800,000 cops in America. I tried to look for the number of dogs killed by law enforcement officers in a year’s time. The only number I remember seeing, and I couldn’t find the article again, was a total of 5,000 dogs. The article did not distinguish how many of the dogs were family pets/harmless/innocent and how many were a danger. It just said 5,000 dogs. I think the article was on ‘the Blaze.’
If these numbers are accurate, what is the percentage of police officers shooting dogs? Does that number constitute the “so many cops” you claim?
How many dogs did cops save? Why don’t we know that answer?
So, again, if the numbers are accurate, less than 1% of cops are shooting dogs. Now I agree that shooting a family pet is an outrage and any cop that does it should be held accountable. I understand the outrage of people who have had a pet shot.
1%? And now that turns into credible evidence that cops gun down people just as easily as they do dogs.
5,000 dogs shot in a year by cops is an outrage—and far too many police departments back them up, saying they had followed proper procedure.
I see lots of your posts are in denial of a police culture out of control in this country and getting worse.
Less than 1% is ‘out of control’?
How many times did cops save dogs? Or save lives? Why don’t we hear about those things? I think it’s a simple, fair question? Why do we just hear about the bad?
I was a cop in a low income/high crime city. I saw what many people never see. I listen to the comments people make without having a clue as to how police work or what goes on in cities like the one I worked in. I see the lies the media puts forth to paint cops in a bad light and see too many people duped into believing the lies.
I am not denying that there is police corruption or that some police officers do things they should not do. It’s always going to happen with human beings.
But less than 1%?
I do not believe the police are out of control any more than politicians and the rest of society is out of control. People are voting themselves into servitude, the cops, particularly the younger ones who grow up in this increasingly secular country, are just a reflection of society.
We’ll just have to agree to disagree, then, as I can’t see having anywhere near 1% of our cops killing a dog in a year as anywhere near success.
I’m afraid the more brutish our police forces become the more they attract brutish would-be officers, thus creating a downward spiral. Also, unfortunately, police can’t help but have their perspective influenced by seeing and dealing with the worst among us, and in high-crime areas that goes 10 times over.
Here are some things you have to remember and some things that I directly experienced. Cops get sent to calls in which vicious dogs are attacking people. I have seen first hand the damage that pit bulls have done to children, literally ripping their faces to shreds. I have not been to the scene but I have seen the photos of people mauled to death by dogs.
As a police officer you are sent to these calls and arrive to find a dog attacking a human being. You do what you have to do. You find a dog that is leaving the area where it just attacked a human being. You see the dog moving towards more people. You do what you have to do.
I’ve had to shoot badly injured dogs, mostly strays. Do those make the count? I’ve been sent to people’s houses when stray pit bulls and rott’s are on their porches and the people can’t come out of the house because the dogs are aggressive. My city didn’t have a dog catcher for years because they said they couldn’t afford it. We couldn’t use the dog catchers equipment because of union regulations.
I wasn’t being paid enough to take a bite from a pit, rott or any other large dog.
In cities like mine drug dealers and low income people have large dogs as a status symbol which they teach to become aggressive. They are irresponsible and let the dogs roam the streets after they no longer want them or provide inadequate fencing or chains to keep them on their own property.
I am sure all those types of dogs were included in the ‘study.’
If in incur the moniker of dog killer cop, then so be it. My conscious is clear.
Hello,
That is a rumor that I heard today.....
(Referencing the possibility that the Officer was a female.)
MOgirl
(And yes, I am here in SW St. Louis County, watching all of this unfold. Hoping and praying that it does not get worse.)
