The way of the Leftist.

Mark Levin has often reported how as part of the Reagan Transition Team he discovered a room full of fresh copies of Rules for Radicals that were about to be shipped out to high-school aged participants in the CETA summer jobs program by the Carter Administration.

We are around the same age. Was having a discussion with my parents about how things have changed since I was a kid.

The most dramatic example I could think of was the fact that I am the graduate of an urban public school system, and I actually managed to learn a few things. That just does not happen anymore.

I went to public schools in suburban Cleveland. So I have known many a wacko! But when we were in school there were still teachers who taught both sides or were more at least more conservative.

My husband is 14 years older. He grew up in rural Minnesota and he said the male teachers (are there still male teachers?), were WWII vets by in large and they brought their hunting rifles to school. Right into the classroom.

Our male teachers were by in large Vietnam draft dodgers.

I was in first grade when they had the first "Earth Day". Even at that age I found it weird. Things did not really improve much after that. But I read "Animal Farm", "1984" and the lefty crap as well. For school assignments!

If you talk to kids today they have no real clue about Communists. That wall has not been down that long! What I find most disturbing is the total lack of curiosity. Kids can't actually be less intelligent then we were. But they just don't care. If it's not on Facebook, if it's not a video game or some stupid rapper, they just don't care. It's sad.

I am no Rhodes Scholar by any means. I am the end of the Boom beginning of the Gen X. But I do know this. Not teaching Western Civilization will cause western civilization to disappear. It's by design and it started in the late 60's when History became "Social Studies".

Home schooling is the only way to protect your kids.
