Didn’t Stalin control agriculture in Russia in order to control the populace? Starved about 50 million of them?
Where are people supposed to go — the entire West is in a chronic state of drought? Also, never should have opened up CA to every third world leech. It used to be a nice state until the 70s — yet even then, water wars were being played.
Hetch Hetchy has worked flawlessly for how long? That you cite a pair of dams with totally different geology than the Sierra Nevada shows how little you know of what can be done with dams. Some work, some don't. Whether or not they work is sit specific.
Damming the Trinity totally changed the Sacramento fishery from perch to salmonids simply with the injection of colder water. I'd call that a good deal. Using that same water to run out the Klamath in summer causes the fish to come in early, finding spawning habitat that is likely to cause a die-off. So there you have an example of a dam that can be used well or badly.
“Thats untrue, for one thing.”
Well the “one thing” I’ve learned is where you “live” on the circle. I also know what’s wrong here, but it has nothing to do with the draught. I hate the RATs, but know enough not to blame them for a lack of rain. Back to your snake handling.
Don't dams kill fish? Environmentalists want to restore the Hetch Hetchy valley by demolishing the Hetch Hetchy dam in Yosemite national park. I have no idea how the people of San Francisco would get water if that happened.
Then you don’t “hate the RATs”, or for that matter, the immorality in the state.
We have had plenty of past presidents and statesmen, founding or otherwise, warning us that shifting away from morality and religion would result in not only the Constitution being taken from us, but also the protection of God. Those are the people upon whom the country was built, and to sweep away those foundations means the whole nation crumbles. And what’s happening today?
"Free Republic is here to continue fighting for independence and freedom and against the unconstitutional encroachment of ever expanding socialist government...
We believe in the founding principles with all our hearts and mean to defend them to our dying breath..."
~Jim Robinson
Figured it was the government. Thanks.

All true! And Secular Progressivism is at the core of our problems. We have endured the totality of my lifetime, watching the “government educational system” devolve into something unrecognizable from what we had originally.
Even “organized” religion has become corrupted. They are shameless in their distain for our laws. We think Obama is bad. Well for openers, you can put the Catholic Church right alongside, and they are not alone. A lot of them are back “selling indulgences” to our politicians and our wealthy few. “Don’t like our position on abortion, no problem, for a few bucks ( quite a few really) we will look the other way Nancy.” And then there’s Harry Reid. The Mormon Church should be mightily ashamed to continue to let that cretin stay a member in good standing while he almost single-handedly destroys our country. For me, I don’t need any of them. A belief in God doesn’t require that you join anything, or at least that’s how I see it. So if yo do feel the need to join something, make is a small something where individuals matter more than power and money.
And as for your first line, I do HATE the RATs, because they and their followers are in league with evil, and they are anti-God. Until we have a real crisis, I don’t think we have a chance at changing things. I hope I am wrong, but that’s how I see it playing out. We don’t have a GOOD Party and an EVIL Party, we have an EVIL party and a NOT SO EVIL Party. The decent people in the NOT SO EVIL Party are too few to really accomplish anything.
The drought makes a nice cover story for the people leaving due to the economic climate.
Alaska or Hawaii.
Averages are funny things.
Obviously everyones habits are different, and thus their water consumption. I am quite sure an environmentalist who only flushes after #2 and has a cactus instead of a lawn uses less water than a guy with a big green lawn who takes baths and runs the water when he shaves.
But I haven't met many illegal alien environmentalists... so I am going to guess they are at least average in their water consumption.
