What I am recalling is I think a different event - it was something really horrible and afterwards he said something about how the world looked on in awe - or something similar.
It was so weird that I thought he sounded as though he really wasn’t thinking in the English language but some other language. It was a choice of words that was REALLY off.
Wasn’t it the day of the Fort Hood shootings.... ??? IIRC he made some stupid statement and then said “I’d like to give a shout out to....... “
Keep calling your rep and senator. It may seem futile, but keep up the pressure.
“It looks like it may be a terrible tragedy.”
When a slick communicator like Obama uses the term “may be” in that statement, you know that is a smart guy’s actual sentiments and not a well edited and crafted statement made for him by staff. Only an ideologue can imagine how it could be possible for so mamy people to be senslessly killed and it NOT be a tragedy.
I tried looking for this statment of his and can’t find it. But what I recall of it reminds me of how completely off his statment today is. In a way it’s not that different from him laughing at Steve Croft’s 60 minutes interview to the point that Croft asked zero if he was punch drunk.
There really does seems to be something mentally wrong with him.
I guess Benghazi was a terrible tragedy. And, he’s only concerned about American CITIZENS; what, no unaccompanied minors or undocumented immigrants?
Or planning a vacation at the tax payers expense or playing golf or having a party or going to his bath house for a meeting or ————
Anyway you get the picture of mac daddies concern.
“It looks like it may be a terrible tragedy...(and it will be if I get interrupted from my fund raising speech again. Don’t they know I don’t have time for this kind of stuff?!).
DC disease.
It doesn’t affect me.
No, I remember he definitely said something about the world, or we, look at with awe....and then he discussed what happened. I wondered if it was Mumbai but couldn’t find this statement.
It was way off what any of us would have said. The word “awe” or “awesome” to describe a terror attack was at the time stunning and way bie zarre to me. I’ve tried but cannot find the statement. Who knows, maybe his friends have taken it off the net.
But as I said, at the time I couldn’t help but think he’s got a language issue - this isn’t how you describe a horrific event...not if you’re on the side of the murdered at least.
things are getting worse each and every day. Clearly Cloward Piven plan / Alinsky rules for radicals.
Think about what is going on now, behind the scenes that we don’t yet know about. That’s tomorrow’s surprise for us all. This is the most sickening time in our government’s history. What IS the matter with the GOP - or any one in government for that matter? This also affects their grandchildren, for sure. Can they ALL be in on this?
yes, things are getting far worse than I could have imagined.
I have a 5 year old neice - I am afraid for her.
