I believe the main reason things have gotten so bad is that the media is complicit in the corruption of power evidenced by the current regime. We have the government they want us to have. That’s because they are communists, too.

Instead of exposing corruption, as they were intended to do with their 1st Amendment protections, they give a public beatdown to any opposition.

discrimination evidenced by what it was told by IRS agent Diane Gentry about contradicting administration policies – the process by which the IRS made the determination on tax exempt status. In the words of the Jerusalem Post:

I hope they have a "hard" copy of that. That could blow all of this IRS stuff wide open.

Is there a non-disclosure agreement tucked into that $50K settlement?

1775: 40 and 45 percent of the white population supported the Patriots’ cause, between 15 and 20% supported the Loyalists, and the remainder were neutral or kept a low profile

Valid point.

I still believe that loyalist “support” is not quite the same as government dependency.

But, to counter my own point, I imagine a lot of the loyalists were that because they were benefiting economically and socially from crown rule as much as philosophical loyalty to the monarchy.

Still, if things should openly and actively take that turn, it will be very instructive to see how the people divide up.

Honestly, since Reagan left office, my faith in the intelligence and goodness of the American people has steadily diminished. I apologize for being pessimistic, I wish I could have the hope and faith some FReepers have that the masses will see the light. But I do not.

…these cases are being sent to a special unit in the DC office to determine whether the organization’s activities contradict the Administration’s public policies.

Caligula is not amused by contradiction of public policies. Not in the least.
