"We need to be thanking the Lord that even a bad situation is not worse..."
That isn't what you said, and thus isn't the post to which I answered you. You said:
"Even the worst American city doesnt make the list.
"Sometimes we dont know our blessings."
In the post quoted above, you are counting as a blessing that even the worst American city doesn't make this list.
But as I and others have pointed out, that's false. There are American cities that have murder rates of the magnitude of the cities on this list, and even American cities that should be on this list, because their high murder rate has exceeded that of some of the cities on this list.
If you now wish to thank God that things aren't worse, that's more in line with reality.
It doesn't strike me as a particularly worthwhile way to interact with God to thank Him for things that aren't actually true.

Guess what, a blessing always means a blessing.
And it does not come from Cthulhu or whoever.
You are the one who comes out on the wrong end of your quibble.
Now you're descending into incoherence.
Good luck with that.

US woodland camo BDU’s, an M4 of some variant but with no optics that I can see...
IOW, US equipment...
Oh, and his trigger finger is in the proper position.
Check that flat-top upper very carefully. I don't want to say more just yet, maybe I'm seeing things wrong.
You are descending into wilful denial.
Good luck with that.
Will wait for others more knowledgeable to weigh in.
“You are descending into wilful denial.”
In order for any denial on my part to be willful, I'd have to be aware of it.
I told you that I can be slow, so I assure you that any denial on my part is blissfully unwillful, as I have no awareness of being in such a state.
Of course, it would help if I were clear just what it is that I'm allegedly willfully denying.
But then again, you are still descending into incoherence.

"Austria is one of the safest countries in the world. According to the OECD Factbook of 2006, levels of robbery, assault, and car crime are among the lowest in the developed world, and a study by Mercer ranks Vienna as the 6th safest city in the world out of 215 cities. Violent crimes are extremely rare and should not concern the average tourist. Small towns and uninhabited areas such as forests are very safe at any time of the day."

No headgear.
The strap in an awkward position. It appears to be around his neck and not looped. Like it’s on a tether.
The M4’s rear sight is folded down. No issue with that.
No Kevlar but sometimes they’re told not to wear them on patrol -it upsets the locals. But he should have a cover.
Dear sitetest,
Are you causing trouble?
:)

I hope not. ;-)
Just trying to inject a little accuracy into the proceedings.
I don't thank God that we don't have third world levels of murder in any US cities, because, well, we do.
I didn't thank God for winning the PowerBall yesterday, either, since I didn't. Not that I'd object if I did.

Dear sitetest,
I wouldn’t object if you (or I) won the PowerBall either.
:)

I guess I’d have to buy a ticket, first. You gotta play to win.
That’s probably true. :)
My brother-in-law is from Honduras and he and my sister and their kids used to travel back there every year to see his family in San Pedro Sula and I've made the trip with them many times.
It is now so dangerous he won't go back there unless it's a direct flight to the Bay Islands........
About 4 years ago his niece's 30 year old son disappeared along with two of his best friends and have never been seen since.
The story behind that is, the two friends were heading to one of their rental homes to turn over the keys to a Mexican couple (???) and on the way they picked up David. Once they arrived a van pulled up and several gunmen jumped out and abducted the boys and the Mexican couple - this is the story that the boys's armed security guard, who managed to get away, gave . Because the boys' family was wealthy, the boys always had a guard with them. The authorities suspected that the Mexican couple were affiliated with a drug cartel and the gunmen were with another and were waiting for them........Unfortunately the boys were all caught in the middle.
On my last trip to Honduras around 2002 or 2004, my nephew went down a few days before us and stayed with his cousin Mario. On one of the nights the van he rented was broken into then after the rest of arrived and checked into the hotel in San Pedro Sula several days later, it was broken into again. Then the next day, we heard distant gunfire and as it turned out, gunmen had boarded a city bus and killed a bunch of passengers. That was attributed to a "turf war" that was going on between two rival bus companies..........
Every trip I ever made there was an adventure of one kind or another
Honduras was always a great place to vacation with my BIL's honduran family, all of us would end up in the small little town of Tela Mar and rent a couple beach houses and relax.......not any more.
