the feds can’t secure the border’b/c they have no people, but they sure as hell will find people to send when texans volunteer to secure their own states’ border.
priorities dontcha know.
The illegals will just come in through the other states.
Well, let the other states follow Texas’ lead and do the same thing. It has to start somewhere.
Thanks for pointing that out dragnet2. I hear from liberals all the time how I "hate" Obama because I disagree with his leftist agenda and because I point out how bad it is for America. It's a tired, weak and easily defeated argument. But it's all they have.
or a state.
Perry won’t do anything against illegals and he will call you heartless if you want to.
these will be armed volunteers not cops.
The logistics of something like this would be fairly complicated, I would think. Not to mention factoring into the equation the near certainty of Fed opposition and media bias.
I agree to ‘just do it’, but to suggest sonewalling is unfair, imo.
Good thoughts.
Perry wont do anything against illegals and he will call you heartless if you want to.
Then what is he planning right now?
Seems your post history is haZing problems. However until I sort it, lets chew on this jem...

Are You Going To Remain A Republican in light of today’s gutless actions by both the Senate and House? This was the last straw for me; I’m done! I will be switching my party affiliation tomorrow.
No it’s not. They have had years to tackle this problem and they didn’t.
Like this.
His press release refused to say so we have no idea. Can only trust in his history.
It sounds like they don’t want to give a heads up to the wrong people.
lol! Ouch!
Sounds like they dont want to tell people the Texas rangers will have ROEs that make them lock their guns in Kansas. And they want to LOOK like they are doing something.
BINGO!
Oh yea! Something is weird with the posts right now as it only goes back a page. But he and I shared a tender moment with him admitting he was wrong. On a public thread. so to come here with his reversion is fraud of a Perry-like caliber.
You’re going to be eating crow. I’ll mail you some salt and pepper.
Here’s something for everyone to chew on:
Among the duties of Congress:
“...To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions...” (Art1; Sec 8; Clause 15)
Oh, but wait - here’s more:
“...The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it...” (Art. 1; Sec 9; Clause 2)
Now, let’s ask ourselves does the governor(or any governor) have the right? Well, let’s blow some more dust off that old document:
“...No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay...” (Art 1; Sec 10; Clause 3)
Oh, and here’s just one of the parts that justifies impeachment (and immediate action by any governor:
“...The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence...(Article 4 Section 4
So let us dispense with the ‘does-the-governor-have-the-legal-authority’ debate.
Bayonets anyone?
