Deserters LEFT OF THEIR OWN ACCORD, and as a result can not be left behind. They leave us, we don’t leave them.

Words mean things to those of us that understand them.

the author is a vitrolic blabbering idiot who promoted Feinstein and Hillary, Joe Manchin and Jay Rockerfeller, among others, to the Republican party in this hit piece, “yes, all are members of the GOP”. I wouldn’t expect this person to know the difference between civilian and military courts. It’s a wonder the author can navigate traffic signs. (I won’t even go into what I think about the editor who approved this drivel.)

no, I would not want Allen West as president. It’s not what’s wrong with me, it’s not what’s wrong with Allen West being an African-American or even Obama being a black man - it’s what’s wrong with the country.

Our country has become so immature a black president is no longer a president, he’s a race. Any criticism of a black president is consistently portrayed as wholesale criticism of a race. Question a policy - that’s racist. Question members of the administration - that’s racist. Question Obamacare - that’s racist. Impeach Obama - that’s racist. For six-year olds, all they’ve heard all their lives is non-blacks are racist.

Following Obama with West won’t help. West isn’t a liberal and he isn’t a Dem, so in the current political environment, as President, he will be as vilified as Bush within those communities. I wouldn’t wish that on him in a million years. Stick him in as VP where he’s at least insulated somewhat. Until certain elements in our country are mature enough to accept a black man -as a man- and not as a race, be it West or someone else, and to accept the white man - as a man - and not as a race, we would do better not to perpetuate the immaturity and resultant hostility generated down to the masses that is building to a crescendo.

Wow, I could not disagree with you more. You are basically saying that a black person should not become president because the country has become too immature to handle it.

This is lowest denominator, plantation style thinking at its worst. DIMS do this, not us!

"We can't have black managers at this company. Employees can't handle a black person as their boss. They could be assistant managers, though."

"We can't have blacks sitting just anywhere on the bus. It makes bus drivers and passengers uncomfortable. They can sit in the back, though."

This is how your argument sounds. And its deplorable. If a man or woman is qualified and has the temperament for a position of power, by God they are qualified no matter what their race is. Period, end of story.

Sorry, under obama the “New Army” slogan is;

“Never leave your buddy’s behind.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Very witty but it will not be understood by all those who think that an apostrophe denotes a plural rather than a possessive. Wit is wasted on the ignorant. The kind of sophisticated political satire that used to be seen in newspaper comic strips would fly over the heads of most today.
