The first time I watched the video, I was dumbfounded by the father, but then I watched again and focused on Obama’s face. I couldn’t believe the freakin’ smile that came across his face, and started posting comments on this as soon as I saw it.

I am NOT defending Mr. Bergdahl; however, I am attempting to explain something that I think is being missed. The Bergdhal’s belong to a conservative Presbyterian denomination. It and several others of similar theology are involved in a theological controversy called the Insider Movement, which is a theory of doing evangelism to Muslims by taking on those aspects of their culture which do not deny the Bible as a means of bridging the cultural gap in order to present the Gospel. One of the most controversial aspects of this movement is using the name Allah for the God of the Bible. You will notice that Mr. Bergdahl did not invoke Mohammed in his Arabic statement. That is purposeful. While calling God, Allah, he is not accepting Mohammed as God’s true prophet. (Which means he CANNOT be Muslim.) This is KEY. It seems that Mr. Bergdahl is attempting to reach out to his son. This is further exemplified with his long hair and beard. However, I believe these people are Christians and are very, very broken over what has happened to their son. Unfortunately, that has also made them very effective foils for the President politically. That is a whole other issue in this story.
Again, I AM NOT DEFENDING this theory of missiology. Nor am I defending the actions of Bowe Bergdahl. I am merely trying to explain behavior that I believe is being misunderstood.

I saw this when it happened in real time it made me sick! It is obvious Obama is a Muslim and hates America.
