Anyone can make such a claim.
When I was 12 years old, someone attempted to kidnap me as I was walking home from the bus stop. A car pulled over, a heavy set blondish man with medium long curly hair opened the passenger door and asked if I needed a ride. I mumbled something about living close by, and backed away. He slammed the door and pealed out, kicking up a plume of dust and gravel behind the car.
A few days later, a picture of a hitchhiker getting into an identical car was published in the newspaper, with a headline along the lines of “Have you seen this girl?” According to a note in the appendix of Robert Grayson’s book Zodiac, her body was found about a year later.
I always told my friends that I had had a close call with the Zodiac killer. I do not know if that is true. However, I do know that had I gotten into that car, I would have died.
Ever see the 2007 film Zodiac about these events? It’s a masterpiece - highly recommended.
Yes, I've seen it and agree.
Huh, this one may actually be true. That would be a nice change. Frankly, I’m pretty sick and tired of this one.
Thanks nickcarraway.
