I disagree. The Cold War, Napoleonic Wars and WWII were between atheists/nihilists and Christians, with Christians on the defensive. The Ottoman wars were between Christianity and Islam. WWI wasn’t Christian v non-Christian, but certainly was not along religious lines. Even the 30-years-war started off between Catholicism and Protestantism (sorta*), but ended up having very little to do with religion. (The largest nation, France, being Catholic but fighting among the Protestants).
No, all these WWIII types are the ones thinking in concrete; they are trying to place new events into a century-old template. THe notion of Russia attacking Western Europe is purely ridiculous, as is the notion that Putin is a communist. Hitler was very clear about his plans, and his hatred for his rivals.
Libya 2011 was not a war?
both world wars started by germany. Its more likely we have a cold war 2 than a world war 3
It was a civil war that led to a UN backed multination military intervention. The point I was making was that I just can’t see Obama reacting to any serious provocation against the U.S.
We’ve got an idiot in the White House and fools running the military. Every two bit dictator knows NOW is the time to go to war against the US and US interests..
It’s not ‘if’ or ‘when’ it’s who gets to be first...
